Void family Christmas headcanons ( without mikado )

-Surprisingly Christmas goes pretty smoothly for them? Like most people don’t expect to hear wholesome stories about it but the only time things get chaotic is whenever Nikkei tries to sneak into the kitchen

-Speaking of which, Nikkei’s banned from the kitchen. Emma’s entire job is to stand guard because he may say he’s getting water, but in reality that means talking to Iroha, accidentally startling her, and ending up with a bunch burns from whatever she was carrying

-Once he figures out he can’t get past Emma, he goes to do his actual job, which is choosing the days movies! After they all finish eating they’ll go to the living room and binge watch a bunch of movies from Emma’s huge collection

-After they finish watching the movies Nikkei chose, it’s usually almost nighttime so they’ll finally open their gifts. Iroha goes first, then Nikkei, then Emma, and finally Hajime

-Once gift giving’s over, Iroha usually goes to bed while everyone else stays up for a bit, just talking about every topic their tired brains can come up with. They eventually go to bed too though, Emma usually being the last to get to her room because she was cleaning up, despite Hajime’s offers to help

-Idk why I had a layout of their day planned out in my head but normal hc time now-

-They try to shop separately so gifts are a surprise, but everyone always finds each somehow- like Iroha will be shopping for Hajime and then she’ll spot Emma down the isle picking up the same thing she was planning to get. It makes the process a lot more difficult, but they find it sweet in its own odd way

-Emma chooses their outfits, which usually match in some way or another. It can either be the best Christmas card or the worst depending on how cheesy she was feeling when she bought them, but she still goes on and on about how amazing they look either way

-Wait okay every year they take a Christmas picture, and Iroha loves trying to paint them. Once she finishes she’ll hang it up in the living room where last years was, that way they can think about how amazing the holiday was whenever they see it

-Hajime’s not super invested in Christmas, but he likes seeing everyone happy so he goes along with all the festivities, even if it means wearing a sweater two sizes too small because ‘if you cared about the yearly outfits as much as everyone else did you would’ve given me your measurements’ as Emma put it

-Nikkei really likes Christmas, not only does the holiday make great stories to write about, he also gets to spend time with the people he lowkey really cares about

-Iroha loves Christmas, it’s actually her favorite holiday! She loves all the beautiful winter sceneries she can paint, the people she gets to spend her time with, and just the overall vibe Christmas gives off

-Emma also loves Christmas, though not as much as Iroha. She enjoys curling up under a blanket with everyone around her, sitting in comfortable silence while they watch whatever movie they’re on

-Overall, they just really enjoy Christmas! It gives them time to come together and enjoy each others company since they can’t usually do that due to their hectic schedules
