The bases aren’t perfect but I got all the sketches transferred on and can finally start painting them!

I’m looking forward to this, I’ve only really done art of Legend in color at this point so I’m excited to see how everyone else looks with my style :)

After a rough few days, I’m feeling significantly better and have the energy again to keep cleaning up the sketches! Two out of three done!!

Hey look, it’s the one I’ve been the most excited for which means we’ve finally gotten all three sketches cleaned up!! I love my boys, the Wolf Trio truly brings me so much serotonin 💜💜💜

The way I was doing all of these was that I fixed the basic poses first and then drew all the hair and clothes on top, and just the details for Twilight literally took an entire day to draw! 😭 For context, the details for Time and Wild took me about 3 to 4 hours each! My roommate from last year, Fox, has told me Twilight looks super good though so it was worth all that time, so I’m taking his word for it

Anyways, these ornaments have become a bigger project than I originally thought because I decided that I actually want to make the bases out of clay rather than the blanks I already have, so I might not get them done by Christmas but that’s fine, I’ll still keep posting updates on my progress! Plus, my family and I never end up putting Christmas away until like, March anyways, so the ornaments will still get adequate time to be on the tree this year 😂 /hj

Luckily fixing the sketches for this month's pieces isn't going too horribly, though I've only done one so far

I'm not going to spoil what my plan for the pieces is but you guys get to see a little sneak peek of the first one because I struggled so much with Four's hair and the proportions overall, and I need external confirmation that it looks even remotely decent :/

So unfortunately being sick has hampered my ability to make a ton of progress on the ornaments but I’ve managed to clean up at least one of the 3 so far!!

I’m working on some rough sketches right now for the Sidlink animatic I started a while ago and you guys, I think I’ve made the most babey drawing of Wild

Like, look at his cute little face!! He’s so adorable!!

I’m literally nowhere close but I want this animatic to be done so badly, I need it to become a reality, it’s been microwaving in my brain for legit a whole year and I will not know peace until I have finished it-

So I mentioned that what I posted of Varius’ design isn’t the finalized version, because there are a few details I need to refine. One of those is the belt, which I’ve really been struggling with for some reason, and I said I’d show my progress as I work on getting the design nailed down so here’s part of that!

The first one was me testing out two different variations with that centerpiece part the female zoras usually wear but with the rest of the belt being more secure, I quickly scrapped it though because it’s just way too busy. So I came up with the design in the second picture which I like much better. My main issue with trying to figure out the design is I need it to be strong enough to hold all of her gear, so having parts of it that can shift around (like would be the case in the first one) isn’t ideal, I’m essentially making it equivalent to a tool belt

I actually decided I’m going to create a couple different variations of the belts for a handful of the zoras, specifically the guards as well as Dento and his apprentices (Fronk and Ledo). Basically I’m going to give the guards’ belts actual armor and Dento, Fronk, and Ledo will essentially have the same belts that Varius does but with a few slight differences. Varius basically just modified her belt by adding a few different holders and whatnot to carry all the gear she uses

Anyways, I think the second design just needs a little bit more refinement but overall I think that’s the design I’m going to go with. I’d love to know what you guys think of it though :))

I still gotta fix some proportions (and add the details obviously lol) but I wanted to show y’all the wip sketch I have for some LU Christmas ornaments I’m making this year! :D

I’m actually really curious if you guys are able to tell who’s who from just the basic poses
