Interesting audio waves experiment based on August Kundt's original design from 1866. He used this to measure the speed of sound based on the idea that each wave represents one half of a wavelength. This standing wave is caused by the the sound waves returning from the end of the tube and interfering with new waves generated by the speaker. Also, by changing the frequency, the pattern of the waves can be controlled and shaped according to will.
