your tags about not being able to touch type using old, tall keys is a testament to your youth. treasure it always
IT IS A RECENT THING YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND
all my childhood i typed on traditional clacky keyboards - this was back when desktops with massive CRT monitors were the norm, netbooks were ridiculously expensive, and full-size laptops were practically unheard of. i never learnt to touch-type formally but found that i could, because i'd been typing so long. (fun fact: apparently i taught myself to read using a computer game because i was bored of having stories read to me by dad and wanted to read them myself. ^_^)
BUT THEN when we moved to england i ended up mainly typing on my mam's laptop (and later my own) or at the computers at school, where sometimes they have clacky keyboards and sometimes they have a sort of flatter kinda clacky keyboard. and horror of horrors I CANNOT TOUCH TYPE ON THEM*
(*okay so i mean like i sorta CAN but i make loads more typos and i need to pay more attention while using them)
