“Just hold still, Dei. The more you wiggle the more difficult this gets.”
“But it huuurts, Hidan! It hurts.”
Deidara had been away on a mission that was supposed to be an easy one, nothing he couldn’t handle by himself - obtain a scroll from the Hidden Cloud Village and return it to their current hideout in the Land of Wind.
Somehow, things hadn’t gone according to plan and he was ambushed by shinobi from the nearby village, giving him a run for his money. He managed to escape with the scroll, leaving everything behind him burned to ashes. Getting back to the hideout had been a struggle. The shinobi had managed to hurt him enough to make him bruise and bleed, making his body weak and unable to carry itself up properly. Thank god for flying clay birds to carry you home, right?
When he had finally reached the hideout, he was greeted by a shocked Hidan, running to catch him before he could fall on the ground.
Deidara later woke up in a dark room, eyes taking a while to adapt before he could see someone sitting on the floor next to him. He reached up to rub his eyes, only to feel a stabbing pain on the left side of his torso, making him let out a noise loud enough to alert the person sitting next to him. It was Hidan. He’d stayed with Deidara while he slept his exhaustion off, just in case he needed company when he’d eventually wake up again.
So here they were, sitting next to each other on a thin mattress, Hidan wrapping bandages around the other’s body. Deidara has been rambling on and on about how he didn’t see them coming, how he was ambushed, how he could’ve easily kicked all of their asses had he been better prepared, how he’s much stronger and better than all of them put together..
“Just hold still, Dei. The more you wiggle the more difficult this gets.” He points out, trying to stop Deidara from moving around so much. Every time the bandage touches him, he winces and flinches out of reflex.
“But it huuurts, Hidan! It hurts.” The blonde whines, lips in a slight pout. His ribs were covered in bruises and his arms decorated with various cuts, which Hidan was currently trying his best to wrap up to keep them covered and safe. Tending to wounds in a dark cave in the middle of a desert, air dry and hot, wasn’t ideal, but it had to do.
Hidan finishes bandaging Deidara’s arms and shoves all the equipment back into the box they came from. “You’re being such a pussy, Dei. You don’t know real pain, and you never will without a God.” There’s a grin on his face and the faint light from the candle is making his purple eyes glisten. He shuffles to sit right next to Deidara, arm to arm, leaning his back against the cold wall.
“Shut up, Hidan. You can’t convert me, we’ve gone over this a million times.” His eyes are closed, head against the wall, brows slightly furrowed in pain. “Like I’ve told you over and over, gods don’t exist in this rotten world, we just have to make the most of it. I prefer to do so with my art, you can do whatever you want with your stupid religious crap.”
A loud laugh escapes Hidan’s mouth as he listens to the words coming out of his friend. He was used to people not believing in his religion, and as much as he’d like to convert everyone worthy, he didn’t have to energy to keep the effort up.
“Whatever you say, Dei, whatever you say.” He says with a smile on his lips, turning to look at the pained expression on the blonde’s face. Concerned, he moves off the mattress and touched Deidara gently on the leg to get his attention. He signals for him to lay down instead of sitting up, as that will hopefully make him feel more comfortable. Maybe he’ll even fall back asleep, and Hidan can keep an eye out. The blonde lays down carefully, multiple ‘ouch’s and ‘ow’s and ‘fuck’s falling from his lips while he does so.
“Do you need anything? Water? Soup? Bread? A cold towel? A kiss?”
“A kiss?! What-“ Deidara blurts out, eyes opening in confusion. A blush covers his cheeks and he’s never been so thankful to be in a dark room before. They’d never kissed before, at least to his recollection. Things happen under the influence, so they might have kissed on a night out, but never like this. Never sober. Was he being serious?
Hidan was never one to joke around, quite the opposite. He always blurted everything out as soon as it popped into his head, never censoring any thoughts. “They are very effective when it comes to healing pain, I’ve heard. Do you wanna test the theory?” He says with a wide smile on his mouth.
“..Yes.” Deidara nearly whispers, red face hiding in the darkness. Before he can count to three, Hidan has pressed his lips against his, gentle but firm, not lasting longer than a few seconds.
“I’m late, yes. You should be used to that by now.” with kakairu please!
Twenty four minutes late. Twenty four. Iruka had been waiting outside the restaurant from before eight, as he was always early, and he could finally see the taller man with messy, silver hair approaching from down the road.
I won’t let him get away with this again!
With his hands shoved into his pockets, Kakashi walked over to his boyfriend and pulled his mask down with the intention to give him a kiss. Iruka crossed his arms and turned his face away, lips in a small pout.
“I’m late, yes. You should be used to that by now.” He stated with a slight smile on his lips. Kakashi had a terrible habit of being late to everything, no matter how casual or important. He’d been late to their third date, Naruto’s surprise 20th birthday party (that he helped plan), his first day as Hokage.. You name it, he’s probably been late for it. He’d gotten a bit better at it after Iruka and him started seeing each other, but it was a habit he had a hard time shaking off.
“Twenty four minutes late, might I add.” Iruka huffed as his brows furrowed, brown eyes turning to throw an angry stare at his boyfriend. They had planned this dinner a few weeks ago, as Kakashi had a busy schedule that was difficult to work around. Between all the meetings and paperwork, they didn’t often have time to go out and eat a nice meal, never mind turn it into a proper date night.
Kakashi let out a deep sigh, head falling forward for a few quiet moments. “I’m sorry, Iruka. I got caught up at work again, the paperwork just kept piling and piling.” His fingers gently grabbed onto his boyfriends chin, turning the two of them face to face. “Please forgive me. I promise I’ll make it up to you once we get home after this.”
Iruka’s face softened up, cheeks turning rosy at the thought. Slightly flustered, he let his face rest against the warm hand and nodded. “You owe me big time.”

“… sorry I took a nap on you.” kakashi and gai platonic or romantic 👀
Travelling from Konoha to the Hidden Mist Village was never fun as it meant crossing the sea, something Gai hated more than anything. Not only did it make him sea sick, it also meant he lost precious sleep due to said sea sickness. Unfortunately they had to make the eight day trip due to a mission with the Mizukage, but it was nearly over.
After two days on the sea, their ship was approaching the Land of Fire, and Kakashi could not wait to get his feet back on the ground and get back home. He’d been reading for the past few hours while Gai had struggled to both stay awake and stop puking. Eventually the dark haired man had fallen asleep, head falling to rest against Kakashi’s shoulder.
With a gentle bump the ship stopped at the harbour, startling Gai enough to wake him up. A big yawn escaped his mouth as he rubbed his eyes, slowly realising he’d fallen asleep on his friend. He stood up quickly, way too quickly, and nearly fell over before grabbing hold of the wall next to him. All the blood in his body rushed to his face and he let out a nervous laugh, trying his best to cover up how embarrassed he was.
“… Sorry I took a nap on you.” He blurted out, followed by some more nervous laughter. Kakashi was grinning under his mask, standing up himself much more gracefully, and slipped his book into his pocket. With a few steps he reached Gai, who was still leaning against the wall for comfort, and placed a hand on his shoulder.
“Lets go home, Gai. You can nap on me some more later.”
