As the colder months draw in my uge 2l Stanley flask becomes a permanent fixture in my day to day gear. It holds only boiling water so that I can use it for hot drinks throughout the day but also for my breakfast porridge in the morning. This thing is so robust and reliable, I've even, in the past left it in the car overnight in the middle of winter and still managed to have a hot drink out of it the following afternoon.
