PHYTOMOLECULES OF Commiphora wightii DISPLAY POSITIVE AFFINITY FOR DEHYDROGENASE OF Commiphora wightii: POSSIBLE PREVENTIVE AND THERAPEUTIC USAGE IN SKIN DISEASE | UTTAR PRADESH JOURNAL OF ZOOLOGY
The cause of the skin disease is Staphylococcus sp. Dehydrogenase is one of the main enzymes involved in the biochemical pathway. Commiphora wightii plant extract can be effectively used against skin diseases. Using Biovia Discovery Studio, the molecular docking of phytochemicals with the enzyme was studied. Molecular docking-based screening of a few phytochemicals showed that the phytochemicals interact effectively with the protein's active site and thus have skin disease diagnostic and therapeutic potential. The dehydrogenase enzyme can be effectively deactivated by phytochemicals, including alpha-pinene and eugenol, thus interrupting the Staphylococcus life cycle.
