Star Buddy!
After a minor sewing project today -- patching up some holes in my son’s pyjama top, I felt like making something else, but didn’t really really have an idea for a custom bear. Then, I noticed one of my son’s toys, a little plush star that used to be part of his mobile from when he was a baby. It got me thinking ...
A few hours later, I ended up making a new little friend for my Care Bears today, a Star Buddy! I think it got it pretty close to the Nelvana versions too!
My Star Buddy has felt eyes, with white embroidery thread for the little white shiny spots. His eyebrows and mouth are likewise embroidered on. I think I did pretty well!
Friend Bear approves, even if my little boy ran off with “his twinkle star” shortly after.
Thought I might be able to offer these little guys as a bonus on my custom commissions page! Now that I have the hang of it, they don’t take too long to make.
