Book Two of the Sorcerer and His Dragon series is now posting on ao3! This book, “Star Fallen,” is the sequel to “Star Cursed” and sees mage Lance and his familiar Keith finally acknowledging the way they feel about each other. Their peace is short-lived, however, as forces beyond their borders are stirring, drawing Lance and Keith into a war they have no choice but to fight if they want to stay together.

Star Fallen by Alexandra Tagali

The next animation for MAF 2021 is an animation called Star Fallen by Alexandra Tagali, the stroy is about two boys who meet under the stars and fall in love as they grow old together.

I really love this animation iis sweet and quite emotional, the characters are well designed and the narrative for the story is enthralling. i really like this type of animation for the way the characters are drawn and the way the story touches the heartstrings, its very inspiring.

“Do not seek higher purpose. Be glad with what you are given, for though StarClan protects, they can just as easily kill without mercy.”

Star Fallen is the tale of a cat that sought to be more important than the stars themselves, and the tale of a cat who walks through the veil between life and death forever. He is cursed to observe with no voice to cry with, and watch how easily forgotten he will be. For his pride and envy, he will wander and wander, and wander, until the Clans crumble and fall, and wander more.

There will be no afterlife for this cat, for StarClan rejects him, a cat who was too arrogant to see how insignificant they really were.

The tale of Star Fallen starts of as a cat who lived life in the Clans. The most commonly agreed on rank of Star Fallen was someone who was a leader in life, though some might argue medicine cat, or change it to warrior so it would be more relatable.

The simple, short version of this story is that Star Fallen, over the moons, grew more and more restless. He thought his efforts went by with no satisfactory reward, and yearned for more and more until he thought the only suitable reward for him was to be above even StarClan. When it was time for his death, all of StarClan looked down with disgust on him, and threw him back down. His spirit lingers forever in the territories of the Clan, unable to fade and unable to interact.

An expression that came from this tale is, “Don’t let your star fall,” or, “watch your star,” both of which mean to stop acting arrogant and prideful. It can also be used as a threat, akin to “watch your back,” depending on context.
