[ shower ] sender helps receiver shower after an injury. (Post Underworld angst Sujin & Aster pls. After the bedsheets have been changed and Hajoon and Wolf have left 🥺) @star-paths
It had been slow going, getting them both to a point where they could stand for any length of time, let alone walk to the bathroom properly. There had been many an embarassing moment where bodily needs had - as they inevitably always would - won over Aster's sheer force of will and Wolf had had to help him relieve himself in ways he would never stop apologising for making the young hound witness. But Aster had regained enough strength to walk aided to the bathroom after a few more days, and a few more days after that, Wolf had finally loosened his theoretical hold on the two of them and agreed to go home - probably with a lot of coaxing from Hajoon. It also just happened to be the same day that Aster had first successfully walked himself to the bathroom unaided and back to a chair, enabling the bed sheets to finally be changed before their doting nurses had left.
He'd been watching Sujin grow stronger too, over those days. He could see that the wounds still pulled and tugged, that there was much healing still to be done on both of their parts, but seeing him recover too, seeing colour return to his skin and the fox take in more in the way of water and even a little food... It was a relief. He understood the difficulty there, though - even he was struggling to stomach anything with the memories that plagued them.
But as much as he opened his mouth for spoonfuls of whatever bland food there was, or just shut his eyes while he was cleaned up and re-bandaged, the one thing Aster had outright refused for Wolf to help with but that he was desperate for, was a shower. No amount of wiping down wounds or flannels against his skin could make him feel clean and god, he wanted to feel clean. Maybe Sujin had felt the same, because it hadn't taken as much convincing as Aster had expected to get the other to agree to showering with him. And so here they were, the warm water cascading over their bodies, turning it pink and patchy with brown here and there from dried blood.
Aster had been near-silent pre-shower, as Sujin had unwrapped bandages for him. He'd kept his eyes up and away, gaze unfocused as pink-tinged gauze was dropped in a bin, only finally looking back down again when he knew it would be only Sujin he'd be looking at, as the fox... his little fox... took his hands, near-useless though they still stubbornly were, and guided him to the shower. He'd still been quiet, even as Sujin spoke words that weren't going in as much as they probably should've been, but he drew comfort from his voice if nothing else... Even as his weak legs just about kept him upright and that water warmed through him, drawing a relieved, content breath from his lips. And then he felt Sujin's fingers, oh so gentle and soap-covered, starting to clean around wounds without ever drifting close enough to hurt.
"You don't have to do that," Aster near-whispered, his fingers twitching with the little bit of movement and sensation he was getting back. "E-Even just the water is... it's nice..."

Months had passed since the falling out of the two idols, riding through the wave of comebacks, interviews and group vlogs and activities with relative professionalism. Whether it be sitting separately with feigned smiles and uninterested duo interactions that were awkward but manage to pass off enough without anyone in the public eye to suspect a rift forming. The more eagle eyed watchers and the megafans of UNA1 however knew the truth.
Something, must have happened between the Choi Sangkyu and Yang Sujin to cause such an inseparable duo to seemingly not do anything together anymore.
Choi Sangkyu, the youngest of the group and as such coddled by the older members, saw himself as a star within the group. Gone was the shy and innocent boy who said yes to anything that could put him into the spotlight for even a few seconds. Now? He seemed like a completely different person, and more terrifyingly... An extension and mimic of a man that he was meant to forget, meant to move on from, meant to be free from. But alas, that was not to be.
With the other members off to watch a movie or visiting their significant others, Sangkyu was left to his own devices with MIR4GE on tour. Who else was here? It was time for the silent treatment to end, and wouldn't take no for an answer.
The young idol marches through the dorm corridor, before coming to a stop at Sujin's room. With a deep intake of breath, he doesn't even choose to knock a trait that he had learned and gotten used to doing with how open he was with Sangkyu. There, he runs a hand through his blonde hair, eyeing the idol who he counted on and trusted on a long time ago with folded arms.
"You can't keep this shit up forever. Talk to me, that's the least you can do. Or is your jealous pride too much to acknowledge me?" Sangkyu didn't even wait for an answer as he climbed atop the idol, practically pinning him down as he claws the headset off Sujin's head. "Did you hear me? I'm done with the silent bullshit! You're supposed to by my friend!?"
Are there any AU’s you’d like to explore but haven’t had the chance to yet?
Oh, plenty. Every day I sit here thinking to myself, "ah, when will my brain cells contribute the appropriate phantom au, vampire au, space opera au, fairytale au, regency au????? on a chinese xianxia blog????, etc. etc."
Ask Answered - “You asleep?” (From Yongjun to Nim pls 💜) (@star-paths)
These warm, hazy summer days were some of Nimue's favourites, if he was truly honest with himself. The cooler autumn and the spring breezes were just as pleasant, and winter would bring with it snow and a crisp layer of ice over the lake that was beautiful tto look at and often went untouched, but these long summer days and warm summer nights filled with the sun on his face as he dozed in a gentle breeze off of the water? They were his favourite.
They were when the wildlife was out in force, filling what could often be a very empty space with life. And the sun was always warm, filtering through the trees, the grass and flowers both reaching up towards it's rays. The bank of the lake was softest then, too. The dirt dry enough not to make a mess, but the greenery soft and full, making for the perfect mattress away from his little cove behind the waterfall.
All that was to say… yes. He was asleep. And perhaps it should've been more concerning that he hadn't realised anyone was even here until he heard that voice. A good job it was Yongjun… Not many would pass up such an opportunity for lifelong power.
He hummed, lips smacking softly as he came around and a hand drifting to rub at a blue eye as he squinted up at his visitor.
"Define asleep…" he hummed, a smile already starting to tug at his lips at the sight. Because not only was it company… It was Yongjun. As frustrating as he could be, as infuriating as it was to not know what the other wanted, he had grown fond of seeing him.
"Is that your wish, Yongjun? For me to be asleep? I could have that arranged, though it's rather a waste of a good bit of magic if you ask me."
It had taken Aster an almost embarrassingly long amount of time to work out what to wear, and even longer still to get his mess of hair to sit properly on his head. Longer still after that, to get himself out of the door and in front of Sujin's. He should've called, he knew that. Should've at least warned Sujin that he was coming, that he was planning on taking him out for dinner, but god he had been scared to be told no. That all of the little changes between them he'd been feeling, experiencing, were all just in his head and maybe he hadn't been ready to face that if it turned out to be the reality.
So... a surprise, then. He inhaled a deep breath, glancing down at his outfit one more time before rolling his eyes. It would have to be okay. And so he knocked... and waited... and before Sujin could so much as say hi as the door opened, words blurted out, "We're going out. For dinner. And it's kinda fancy there, so... so nice clothes. Or not, you can wear whatever you like, but... an hour. The table is in an hour."
A kiss, as intoxicating as wine, was all it took for Sangkyu to melt into the warm and loving embrace of the man he was happy to call his closest friend and partner. The lock between two lips was intense yet friendly and loose, like two puzzle pieces fitting together. When it broke, Sang was left panting, but maintained his gaze with Sujin.
As he was doing so, he appears to chuckle before gently nudging Sujin with his fist before shooting him a smile. "Thank you for everything you do for me, Sujin. You have no idea how good it feels, you've slowly made me confident again..."
It had been six months since he broke up with Ryung, a devastating moment for Sangkyu who had to endure through strenuous questioning while also dealing with the break up. It was Sujin that protected him, and helped slowly mend the Sangkyu that was slowly dying and almost left the industry on the whole.
"You deserve the world, Sujin." Sangkyu says with a small chuckle before planting a kiss on Sujin's cheek "Shall we just go to the garden and stargaze a little bit? Just us two, dream team."
It all felt so domestic, Yae found himself tucked gently under a blanket watching a movie with Ben, his head resting upon the lap of his partner as he eats the popcorn from the bowl on his chest. UNA1 were currently on a short hiatus after the dramatic events that occurred between Sujin and Ryung, as well as Sang... So they decided to stay out of the drama and just enjoy the time they had to rest together.
"Did you know that this whole scene's improvised? He breaks his toe when he kicks that helmet and that screen is ten thousand percent a real one." Ah, yes. Lord of the Rings, one of Yaejoon's favourite movies ever.
The younger male smiles a little, quite proud of the trivia fact he delivered, even after spending the first hour of the movie almost quoting the characters word for word with his endearing lisp and accented English. But once the scene was over, he turns his head to look up at Ben, a smirk on his face.
"Have I ever told you how handsome you are? Because you are. You're the Aragorn to my Arwen, Benjamin~"
