@staraze asked:"everything that happens stays inside you ... even if you can't remember it." from momoa!
UNPROMPTED ASKS (ACCEPTING)
'... Is what what you think?'
Kimiko hopes that she will remember the good things that have happened her life; her friends, her loved ones, her family… long after her youth, and way until the day she inevitably passes on from one life to the next. Not that she's expecting that to happen anytime soon, mind you. She's still in the veritable beginning stages of her life… at least in comparison to the rest of her life that she's hoping to live, at least. The bad things… she supposes she'll find a way to incorporate them into her life in a healthy (or at least, bearable way). She's not entirely sure how, but she'll get to that bridge when she gets to it… And when she's ready.
'What about you?' Kimiko looks over at the stranger, curious. 'Anything that you've got to remember… or regret?'
KNY starter call, feat @staraze (Kanae)!
Perhaps his regular stunts are to blame for his current predicament, with Kanae's attentive gaze now glued to his every move, but if Yuichiro had wanted to bolt from the Butterfly Mansion, he would have chosen a different day than when the retired Pillar was stationed there. ❛ You can take your eyes off of me. I'm not going to run away. It's not like I could even if I wanted to. ❜ He imagines he could despite his remarks, but likely not without wounding his leg further, and thankfully that is a gamble the boy isn't willing to take when he can tell his injury this time around is worse than his previous ones.
something about kanae evokes simplicity , sun - filtered sweetness and yearning reach of petals for the sky. it reminds him of a home lost, perhaps one alma's never had. he finds himself smiling at her absently, warmed by the feeling, before he comes to sit at her side. ❝ you must have a green thumb. ❞ a bashful glow is quick to follow, blush settling over their cheeks. ❝ ah— do you think you could help me with my lilies, @staraze ? they're dying . . . ❞
@staraze asked:i suppose it's now or never. (from yuno!)
THE STRANGER (ACCEPTING)
'C'mon, lighten up. It's not the end of the world-'
Though maybe it might be, for Yuno. Kimiko's known Yuno long enough to know that socializing isn't his forte or his cup of tea by any means. Even something as simple as having a night off with the other squads might be daunting for Yuno. For all the admirers her younger squadmates has, he's a man of few words. Not that Kimiko's ever minded, of course. She's come to realize that she enjoys being in his company, as taciturn as he might be. It's refreshing at times, really.
'Don't worry. I'll try to fend off anyone who gets too close to you.' Kimiko jokes, tapping the wind mage lightly on the shoulder. She means it in all sincerity, of course. She's adept at socializing enough to be able to get most of the other people who might want to talk to Yuno or fawn over him excessively away from him if need be. 'You just focus on finding… what's your brother's name again?' The loud boy from the Black Bulls, the one with the sword. 'Maybe… it'll be easier to talk to other people if you find him?…' Kimiko pauses. 'But… you can stay with me for a while. If you want.'

Alekt kept his eyes on the man as he retreated, standing firm and steady like a wall despite his shorter stature.
Only after the man had nearly disappeared into the crowds and he heard the woman cursing did he finally swivel properly towards her, a quick glance which told him she was more ruffled and angered than hurt, but judging by her demeanor, she wasn't someone who really needed protecting. It was more the moral principle of the thing that had made him get between them, rather than any dire need on her part.
"I apologize if I robbed you of the satisfaction. It just seemed to me like the cowardly thing to look the other way," he spoke with a slight accent, though that wasn't the most unusual thing about his words. It was more the even monotone with which they were delivered, matched with a stony expression that carried uniquely little emotion, even in his sky-blue eyes that were more like steel. "Are you alright?"
@staraze asked:i've gotta give it one good try. (from noelle!)
THE STRANGER. (ACCEPTING)
'You'll get it.' Kimiko proclaims, as if it's already set in stone. In her mind, really, it is.
By now, she knows enough about the Black Bulls from cross squad missions and events to get a gauge on most if not all of their characters. (Some of them are a bit more mysterious though, and their captain's definitely confusing on so many levels... But at least he gets the job done in his own way.) Noelle is one of the Bulls she finds herself drawn to the most. Though not like an older sister to her like Vanessa is or a peer like Charmy... Kimiko feels protective. Noelle is a bit prideful, yes, but her younger counterpart is strong and powerful in her own right. She just needs some more... confidence in herself and her control, that's all. In a lot of ways, Noelle is like who she was when she first became a magic knight all those years ago.
Despite them being of different squads and opposite elements, Kimiko likes being able to train with Noelle, and she finds herself having to exert just a little bit more of her own abilities every time she does. 'That water dragon technique of yours is getting better.' Kimiko proclaims, wringing herself out a little. She'd tried her best to hold her own, but it hadn't been easy. 'Thank you. I should probably see Charmy soon, right?" Her mana levels definitely are worse for wear, thanks to their training, but she's sure Noelle must be exhausted as well. 'You should too, yeah?'
@staraze sent: "Can I come with you?" (From Atsushi! Let the boy join ur adventure)
"Hah? What for?" The look his gives is decidedly critical of the white-haired kid. For all intents and purposes, he was on a job, but it wasn't particularly dangerous.
The Boss and Elise wanted to co-opt a spring festival venue by the water, open to the public, with one of their business partners. Nothing too exclusive or flashy, or particularly criminal. For all the world the Port Mafia had long fingers in the seedy underground of the city, they also dealt with more on-the-level business too.
Even if this was a completely legal operation, that didn't mean nothing bad could happen. The Boss was still a target for assassination wherever he might go, even dressed as a civilian, so safety measures had to be taken.
Scouting out the areas of interest ahead of time and deciding on the best one, and knowing beforehand where all the risk areas were as one of Mori's bodyguards, was one of his jobs as an Executive too.
"Don't tell me the Agency is going to be working this stupid festival too. Or maybe you just think I'm up to something? If that's the case, you can relax and go on your merry way. I'm not here to do anything dastardly that concerns the likes of you detectives getting involved."
