wanted to post a little something for starbee week. Even if all I ended up with is a wip. buzz buzz

You know what the world is always in need of? More starbee. So lets have a Starbee Week to inject a little more starbee goodness into it. Contribute in whatever way ya like: art, fics, graphics, videos, music, crafts, analysis, themed perfumes, traditional-meets-new-wave-nude-interpretative-dance, just go wild. 

Starbee Week will go for 8 days, starting on June 16 and finishing on Jun 23. You can contribute on as many or on as few of those days as you like, it’s all up to you. While there will be 8 days, there’s 13 prompts to choose from. Why 13? Because some people like to contribute on every day, but struggle with certain prompts, so by having more prompts than days there are alternatives if people get stuck. What’s more, some prompts suit visual creators like artists and graphics makers more than writers, and vice versa. 

You can do any prompt on any day of the week, and feel free to combine prompts, e.g. you could make a single fic/picture/whatever that corresponds to both the “Humanformers” and “Shattered Glass” prompts at once.

Missing Scene: A scene that could slot somewhere into canon, like unseen encounters during the war, or conversations that occurred between episodes or comic issues.  

Humanformers: Starscream and Bumblebee as humans, whether it’s a human AU, they’ve been turned into humans somehow, or are just wearing human holoavatars, it’s up to you. 

Gothic Romance: Let your own understanding of gothic romance guide you here, but if you’ve honestly got no idea, I’ll say that I would broadly interpret this trope as involving a fusion of romance with darker, macabre, possibly supernatural themes. Given Bee and Starscream have both done stints as ghosts in canon, you’re already halfway there. 

Shattered Glass: Anything involving Shattered Glass; that could mean SG versions of Bee and Starscream, it could mean OG Bee and Screamer visiting the SG universe, whatever you like. 

Alternative Universe: Anything involving any alternative universe, whether it be an alternative universe that diverged from a canon continuity, or something completely disconnected from any canon where everyone’s a centaur or an assassin or a janitor aspiring to be freestyle hip-hop superstar or whatever, it’s up to you. 

Colour Schemes: This prompt was put here mainly with the artists and graphics creators in mind; it’s a prompt to create a piece of art centred around a certain colour scheme like black & white, neon, pastels, etc. Although if this prompt inspires you to create a written piece or any other non-visual creation, by all means go for it. 

Continuity Crossover: Versions of Starscream and Bumbleee from different Transformers continuities interacting, like TFA Starscream meeting Cyberverse Bumblebee, for instance. 

OT3+: Starbee plus one (or more). Polyshipping where starbee is a component of the ship basically. 

Smut: I assume this one speaks for itself. 

Stylised: Again this one was put here mainly for the artists as a prompt to create art in a certain style like chibi, Looney Tunes, pop art, minimalism, whatever. Again, if you want to interpret this as a writing prompt (and there are certainly forms of stylised writing you can work with) go right ahead. 

Inspired by a Song: Anything that’s inspired by a song. 

Trope Generator: Ok so, TVTropes has a random story generator that for some reason doesn’t refresh when you hit the refresh button, but if you wait 5 minutes and then refresh the page it should eventually give you a new set of tropes. For this prompt, just keeping hitting refresh (though it seems you’ll have to wait 5 minutes each time) until you have some tropes that inspire you to create something starbee related. You don’t have to make something that covers all the tropes the generator gives you in one go, just some (or one) of them. 

Free Space: Just do whatever the heck you want (so long as it’s starbee related).
