NGC 5068 - JWST

JWST can make you feel like it actually takes you to other galaxies at times, this close up on a busy star forming region of the spiral galaxy just 20 odd million light years from us, shows the most amazing structures.

Interconnecting strings of dust and gas, intersected by red areas of huge star birth, and bubble like gaps, the result of supernova, sometimes multiples over short periods of time, their shock waves carving out empty regions, but in doing so, pushed against the bow shockwave, the dust and gas that forms deeper concentrations, filaments now ready and able to generate stars once again.

i don’t know about you but i’m feelin 22 everything will be alright if i don’t have any student loan debt in the future, i can find someone that will love me despite my flaws, i could work through all of my trauma and find inner peace, i get to create music without worry of not being able to feed myself or my family, i could possibly transition into my ideal body, i lose some weight while not having to radically change my lifestyle, i could finally get some diagnoses for mental health issues i’ve had for years, i could get some tattoos, and i could rest easy knowing that everyone that i care about is happy, healthy, and safe

Magnetic Fields of the Whirlpool Galaxy

M51 Whirlpool galaxy is a beautiful spiral galaxy interacting with a nearby galaxy NGC 5195. Often these pictures look tranquil but a recent scan of the magnetic fields within the galaxy reveal a much more complex and messy view of the forces occurring within. 

While the interacting galaxy is thought to be partially responsible, the real reason lies in the huge amount of star birth that is present in the galaxy, with these areas changing the dynamics of the galaxy enough to twist and change the magnetic fields present there.
