Agreed on… everything, really. Except I haven’t seen some of those Joss movies, but shhh someday. I’m sorry my question contributed to you crying, though. And I’m very sorry to hear about your aunt. *big hugs*

If superheroes aren’t your thing, there’s no use in watching Avengers. Maybe one day you suddenly feel like it and you can stay in for a whole weekend of superpowered people punching each other. XD

Also thanks. I don’t talk much about personal things here, but maybe I should from time to time and see if that helps.

The aunt who died last year wasn’t just my mom’s sister, but also her best friend. They were eight kids growing up with little money or room, so those two even used to sleep in the same bed until they were teenagers. Since my mom is the youngest others left the house earlier, so even when there was more space, they still often shared a bed until my mom married first. They were so close, so naturally I was close with her, too. We three even took a trip to Vienna together and were supposed to do something similar again.

My mom moved to the town my dad’s from, so family on my mother’s side lives over an hour away and to me “we’re driving to [town name]” pretty much only translated to “we’re driving to aunt’s house”. Even though there live over 30 other people I’m related to who have birhdays and what-not.

At the end of last month my father turned 65 and we at least invited my parent’s siblings and everybody came. Even my now-widowed uncle, who never was a very social type anyway. And there was so much laughter! There was much cake, very few alcohol (see driving home) and so much laughter. Probably the happiest a round of us together has been since. And there came a point I couldn’t take it, so I locked myself in the kitchen and rather did the whole dishes, because said aunt would’ve loved that day too. And she is missing.

But overall I guess the do-you-remember-good-things phase is slowly winning. I should just write all the family stories down, change the names and fuse some characters and I had a super weird family novel (that would at least be 1/3 medical drama though).
