Chocolate brown eyes are lowered and focused on the PADD held by slender and pale hands. He was too focused on his task to pay attention to his surroundings; for he was handing out the assignments and calculating out what needed to be done for the work day today. The bridge wasn't as lively as usual, he noticed, perhaps because of the absence of their captain. Part of him liked the silence, the other part thought that the bridge was... well, mundane and quiet without their chrismatic captain to brighten things up for them. Spock briefly hoped that the Captain would sleep in today so he could get some much needed, extra rest.
He schooled his expression to look the least bit interested as Uhura waved a hand at him from where she sat at her desk, but it felt more like a grimace to him. He nodded in her direction before returning his gaze back to the light blue PADD resting on his forearm, finishing up what he was doing before taking his seat at the desk behind the Captain's chair. He had finished the assignments given to him for now, all he had to do was wait and see what else he could get done as the day progressed. He sat a bit stiffly as he watched the lieutenants and the pilots on the bridge work silently and proficiently, like a well oiled machine.
Turning awake and to his computer screen, his mind wandered to the events of the past few weeks, mainly on his captain. It was odd, for the past few days Kirk had been acting... well not weird or strange per se, but more affectionate then usual. He wasn't bothered by it, in fact he was pretty much submissive towards it since it started with a simple hand clapping the shoulder or an arm around his neck in what one would call a friendly way. But the touches had been starting to get more and more personal. Spock wasn't sure if the captain was aware of the fact that hand holding, to vulcans, is like what humans would call 'making out'. It was embarrassing, but no one else seemed to notice this or even know about it. Which was why Spock would blush green whenever Kirk touched or grabbed his hand while they were in front of their companions. While Spock would feel like he and Kirk were 'making out' right in front of everyone, including his romantic partner, nobody seemed to notice or care. Not to mention how much time Kirk would spend in his quarters as of late. Although, it was curious in itself as to why Spock hadn't told him or anyone else that Kirk was practically molesting him in front of everyone.
"Captain on ze bridge!"
Chekov's call pulled him out his thoughts and made him turn around to catch the eye of the man that was occupying his thoughts. He gave him a smile In greeting and nodded his head a bit at him as he approached hoping that his face didn't reveal that he had been thinking about him.
"Hello, Captain."
