Probably the greatest thing I ever did in Stardew Valley:

I was doing a co-op with my brother and we both had fully upgraded houses. I got bored and asked him if he wanted to reenact “The Cask of Amontillado” with me. He said sure (not knowing what that meant), So I told him to leave his tools at home and meet me in my basement. 

Like an idiot, he agreed. So I met him down there and trapped him with fences so he couldn’t get out. I left him there for a couple of in-game hours while I went to milk the cows before setting him free.

This, of course, spawned a valley-wide game of tag in which he was attempting to bomb me in retaliation. 

Probably the most fun I’ve ever had in multiplayer.

the four horsemen of stardew valley co-op

1. war. the serious farmer. wants to get shit done. impeccable crop layout. gets furious if you sell a bundle item. always has the most money. usually the server host

2. famine. the one who like, only goes fishing/mining. might be as serious as war and might not, but either way, wants you to know they won’t be farming. inflated sense of superiority over their skill at the fishing minigame. fills their farm with furnaces. upgrades tools before everyone else

3. pestilence. you see what they’ve done, but you can’t see them. no one has any clue what they’re doing and they won’t tell you where they’ll be next. seeing them in passing on the map is like seeing a ghost. in fact, you tend to forget about them all day until it’s 1 am and you’re all waiting for them to go to sleep like the rest of you

4. death. the chaotic bastard. a trickster god in overalls. you see them all day every day or not at all, and their actions can be felt across the board. plants their crops in phallic patterns. gives trash to the villagers and laughs. might not mess with your farm, but will break into your house and rearrange your furniture. they cannot be stopped. unrelenting. unyielding. unconquerable.

Hey guys! Small announcement, i finally got round to installing sdv on my laptop! I was a mobile player previously, but I took advantage of the steam sale so i could play co-op with friends, which is what this is regarding i guess! If anyone would be interested in starting a co-op farm, i am able to do that now! here are some details:

I probably won’t be online super often, this would be a pretty casual game

I operate in Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT), which is pretty specific. you don’t have to be in Australia, but keep in mind how your timezone compares to mine.

i’m accepting three people, unless i get heaps of interest and someone knows how to add more players (unlikely to happen, i’m guessing)
