I have Asperger's and I also identify as asexual. I don't really know that they're related so much as they just happen to coexist (at least for me), if that makes sense? It has nothing to do with whether or not I like to be touched, I just don't experience sexual arousal at all.

Absolutely! As xecaria said, SG-1 is a team and they all take turns having the brilliant ideas, and then work together to implement them. Daniel definitely saves the day at least as often as Sam does, and the times Sam does the saving, she often couldn't have done a thing without Daniel there to translate or mediate. SCIENCE TWINS. And they both rely on Jack and Teal'c to watch their backs while they science. TEAM LOVE.

I was at the Stargate convention in Chicago this year when I asked Shanks about Daniel being on the spectrum. A big part of why I felt compelled to ask was the lady that I talked about in the post was sitting behind me that weekend. And I'm just cheeky enough to ask him such things (it was also the 5th time I was seeing him so he kind of knew who I was at that point). Also, he answered it SERIOUSLY unlike most of his other answers that day. So yeah. Shanks agrees that Daniel's on the spectrum.

I think a big part of my tiredness has to do with my Asperger’s. My dreams are too mentally stimulating/exhausting that I’m already tired when I wake up. And then I have to do all that stupid Human stuff. I spend most days wanting to curl up and cry.

That sucks :( I feel like that too, especially when I'm at work or in the middle of class and just want/need to sleep. <3

As soon as I wake up in the morning I want to go right back to sleep. I don't even tell people at work that I'm tired anymore. I just paste on a fake smile & automatically say "I'm fine". So I don't know that I deal w/ it so much as I try to hide it.

Yeah I've only just started learning how to hide it because of work. There's a guy there that always says I look tired :/
