Ooooh, thank you so much hun!  I deep dived into a Mob Boss Peter AU i’ve really been meaning to finish for 100 years xo thanks for the ask! Maybe it’s not so much the tedious tale the man tells, continuing where he left off, but perhaps the thinly veiled interest from his companion. There is a vague recollection of the man introducing her as his personal assistant or escort or whatever, Peter wasn’t paying attention. But he’s definitely giving her his focus now, watching from the corner of his eye as she strikes small talk with Tony, her smile coy and practiced. Peter doesn’t miss the heat in her eyes.  That’s his problem. He doesn’t ever miss a damn thing.
