I’d like to hear more about the Juni sledding fic. What is that about?
Juni sledding fic is my attempt at getting Rolan to do something nice and not selfish for Juniper. She misses the winters where she grew up, and frequently talks about them with him. Well, it snows and Rolan decides to try to convince her friends to go sledding. For her. It's supposed to be more lighthearted and sweet. It also might've inspired another fic idea I'll eventually need to write.
“Rolan.” Her voice broke the stillness of the early morning, voice raspy yet soft, still half asleep if he wagered a guess. “Juniper.” She ran her claws down his side, tracing the ridges along his hips, before settling them against his thigh. Biding her time. “I can hear your mind spinning from here. I thought we agreed there would be no working in bed?” Rolan resisted a snort before placing the text on the small table next to the bed. “As I recall, only you agreed to those terms. Besides, I needed something to keep me busy since your snoring kept me up.” Juniper snorted, and he could feel her smile against his skin as it curled her lips. “Preferable to my singing, I’m sure.” Rolan ran a claw against her spine, the fabric of her sleeping gown soft beneath his touch. “And much more preferable to your magic casting.” She buried her face into his chest, the sound of her laughter muffled by his shirt. His heart swelled at the sound, each opportunity to make her smile and the success when he did so bringing more joy to his life than magic ever had. When she finally raised her head to look at him, her cheeks were dark with blush, blue eyes blazing happily, her nose scrunched adorably. “Thankfully for you, I don’t do that much anymore.” The eye roll was for her benefit. “No, you only get me into more trouble than ever.” She shook her head, eyes widening slightly. As if he’d believe her innocence in any of the chaos that followed her around. “I swear, I didn’t cause the fire at Figaro’s. That was Astarion.” “Yes, that’s why Figaro sent me the bill for the destroyed fabric.” “You weren’t supposed to find out about that.”

For @starknstarwars
This was my gift for the SWTOR Summer exchange. I got the lovely Sixth Line to work with, and it was a joy to make something for one of the nicest folks in the SWTOR community.
Summary:
Vexa Pasan dutifully performs her meditative exercises, but her mind wanders. The Battle for Odessen will eventually come -- and then where will she be?
Fic:
One eye cracked open. The blue one. Halfway. Didn’t want to be too obvious.
The rocks, a few yards away from her, were all in flight.
There was one for each of them: Vexa herself, Papa, Master Praxis, BD-4, Zallia, Master Nightstar. Six for the Sixth Line. (She’d considered adding one for Theron, but then she’d have to add one for the Commander, and then she’d absolutely have to add one for Lana, and that was getting ambitious, even for Vexa.)
And all of the rocks were all off the ground and steadily rotating around her.
“It counts!” she crowed to herself. Slamming the eyelid shut, Vexa squeezed her face all tight to make sure she didn’t jinx it. “BD, can you take a holo? I’m not gonna be able to hold this until Master Praxis gets back.”
She knew this, because Zallia was on Odessen, and the two of them had a habit of wandering off whenever they were in the same vicinity without an immediate mission. (Most of the time. Sometimes, they did wander off right before a major mission, and Theron stomped around until they shook loose from somewhere in the base.)
The droid whirred happily and with a ‘beep!,’ the moment was captured for posterity and for Morff Praxis. A job well done.
On the other hand, maybe she should have asked Papa. He was just a dozen yards away, trying to lurk and hide as best as his large form could.
Pasan Powin didn’t know it yet. And maybe Vexa wouldn’t tell him until she was too old to hide it. But there were a lot of benefits of being able to sense people and read their identity like the spine of a library datapad. Everything was laid out: names, titles, and depending on how ‘dense’ they felt, how many years. Or least, how many lightyears they’d travelled, as Zallia would put it. Some people had more than others, even if they were the same age.
Vexa was rather pleased she’d come up with the datapad comparison herself. It would be useful in explaining it to a non-Force User one day.
(Some of the best things were the secrets you kept to yourself.)

The road from Takodana was an easy one. The travel was even better with a light heart, and Theron’s was lighter than it had been in months: they had somehow convinced two—two—traditionally-neutral factions to join him in overthrowing the Shadow King.
He teased and joked with Vassanna as they rode, his spirits buoyed by their success.
(It helped that he liked to make her laugh. Her eyes would crinkle and her laugh was pure and joyous and golden.)
The weather reflected their good mood, holding clear all day. During a particularly spectacular sunset, they set up a rough camp in a clearing just off the road; a small fire, a log for seating, and a place for the horses to rest made it as comfortable as could be. The sunset faded, its oranges and pinks darkening to navy, and stars began to appear.

I ... debated adding the fruit. But it wasn’t me.
Green alcohol has always fascinated me. When i was a child and we had ice cream for dessert, my father would occasionally have Crème de menthe on his ice cream. Not often, but occasionally.
I knew exactly four things about this substance: 1) It was green. 2) It had a french name I couldn’t pronounce. 3) It went on ice cream. 4) I wasn’t allowed to have any.
Now - in my six-year-old mind, that meant it must be AMAZING. (Because that’s how my six-year old mind worked.)
Years later, i actually tried some. It was ‘meh’. I was so disappointed.
My blog is about 90% just SWTOR reblogs now. Work has been tough, though i hope i have more time this summer.
Thanks for the tag!
For the AU asks: how about a modern AU?
Thanks for this @starknstarwars!
Send me a potential AU and I’ll give you some facts about the story
Ok so this is modern but it kind of turned into something of a crime AU too lol (also I’m imagining all of this as very noir with our private detective hero giving dramatic inner monologues all the time)
-
Amélie Biava is a private detective working in a city that is all but openly controlled by organized crime. She is one of the final true independents in the city that is not bought and owned by one of the various crime families. One day, she receives a very unexpected client at her door, Amarra Kine.
Amarra is the eldest daughter of one of the most powerful crime lords in the city, Serra Kine. She has come to Amélie for help with a matter she cannot trust her mother’s organization with. Her little sister, Ryscha, has gone missing. Amarra reveals that her mother has circumstantial evidence that indicates people within the Kine crime family and also within the Shan and Tirall families might be involved. And if Ryscha is not found quickly, Serra Kine might choose to go to war with the other Families of the city.
To try and find her sister and also stop an all out crime war from breaking out, Amarra needs an unbiased person like Amélie to help with the investigation.
Together, the pair begin looking into Ryscha’s disappearance. Along the way, they pick up some allies that also want to prevent a war from breaking out. Lana of the Kaas family, Theron of the Shan family and Senya of the Tirall family.
The group soon learn that there is far more going on than just Ryscha’s disappearance. Someone has been manipulating events in a way that is deliberately destabilizing the peace between the Families. Amélie suspects that it may be someone hoping to take control of the entire underworld by swooping in to pick up the pieces after tricking the current Families into a long and destructive war.
Unfortunately, the truth is that the group has no idea who might be behind this plot. All they can do is try to find Ryscha and hope that she can identify and lead them to the mystery party that has been slowly but surly destabilizing their city.
