Leonardo pulled Casey into his lap and let him cry, one big arm wrapping around him tightly and squeezing him. Casey let the days of numbness fall away and let himself fall apart again, clutching the gift to his chest and curling into the one other person who could make him feel safe right now. Leonardo sighed wetly and squeezed him even closer. “I know, kid… I know. But they loved you so much, and they will always be with you. They are always with us.” Casey felt Leonardo’s forehead press into his hair. “You are not alone.”

I have too many thoughts I want to barf at once 8 |

First, disclaimer, I do not know sign language. I just look things up online and draw them. Sorry if stuff is inaccurate. |D

Second, hoooooooooo boi. Have you guys who are rottmnt fans read The Aftermath by Starrcrossrose on AO3? 8′D I started reading it because I wanted more fluff, but excuse me as I stamp this as the very first story I’ve ever read that legitimately made me cry. Not in the oh no I feel things but I’m fine an hour later. But I actually had water tears falling from my eyeballs. And I just sat at my desk for an hour or so feeling like my day was full. It was amazing.

That, and my interest/enjoyment with drawing sign language, and the idea for the change in how Leo’s name is signed in this was my motivation for drawing it. It took a lot longer than I thought it would 8 | 

This is from the end of Chapter 12, and he’s actually wearing a hoodie and a bio hazmat suit in the scene, but I wanted to have him fully visible for this, so I elected to not draw those. Also I forgot he was wearing a hoodie under the suit |D oops.

....... I can’t remember what else I was going to say X’D Formatting this for tumblr was mildly annoying. have fun and give @starrcrossrose a big fat hug for being an amazing writer. This story, specifically CH12 has both made me feel inferior and given me motivation to write better. XD I hope she doesn’t mind the fanart |D

I actually made this while writing Chapter 7 of The Aftermath. I could just... see this vision where Casey Jr is having a dream or something and he sees his timeline’s turtles, except they’re all ghosts. And they are young again and they are just hugging, but they cannot see him and he cannot touch them. They are far away while Casey Jr has to keep on living.

It’s very sad, I know. I... cried several times while working on this Chapter, actually. I had to get these images out of my head, so I threw this together. (It was also my first time drawing CJ so... yayyy)

Making this little lass was purely self-indulgent (especially bc August exists, and I just like to think that after several years around his niece, Leo really wants his own kid and shyly asks Donnie if he can make another clone... but instead with his own DNA bc he really wants a kid). 

I just... really wanted to make my own turtle baby for Leo. So! Here she is! Little doodles/wips, whatever you’d like to call them! <3

I never shared my doodles of her here, so this is my current Rise OC.

20 years old - Gray Fox

Used to work for Big Mama, but ran away (and stole a ton of valuables while doing so). She was injured when she escaped to the Hidden City, and that’s where she meets a certain Yokai who’s willing to help her in her time of need... She ends up working at a very cool and secluded tea shop in the Hidden City. She keeps telling herself she’s only there until she feels safe enough to leave, but really... she just likes it there. (She’ll never admit it though)

It’s at this tea shop that she meets the turtles and, at first, does NOT get along with them. In her words, “They’re rowdy, annoying, and stinky.” However, they grow on her over time. Her first real friend is Casey Jones, and out of the turtle brothers, it’s Raph. The three of them get up to vigilante stuff OFTEN after they are comfortable around one another.
