All of your AU designs are so cute!!!!!!!! What is Rainbow Dash like in the Starryverse AU? And what does she look like? :U

in starryverse she is known as Double Rainbow! i’ll paste her deviantart description here:

double rainbow is a passionate and excitable pegasus. she works to maintain ponyville’s weather, and usually adds some extra flair such as a rainbow or special shaped clouds. she prides herself on being able to make a beautiful sky in 10 seconds flat! she also loves to create weather phenomena, like lightning balls and rainbooms. these take a lot of extreme (and dangerous) flying, so rainbow is extremely athletic. when she flies really fast, colorful sparks of electricity crackle on her wings. her dream is to join the wonderbolts and make their shows even more awesome with her cool flying tricks and amazing weather effects! she can be brash and abrasive at times, but she’s really very loyal and caring. she even takes care of a young pegasus named scooter sprite, whose parents all but abandoned her.

extra stuff:

as mentioned before, rainbow takes care of a young pony named scooter sprite (scootaloo, obvs) and acts as her guardian and older sister figure. however, rainbow is young and has a lot of, like, saving the world to do, so eventually scooter sprite’s aunts step in to help take care of scooter sprite AND double rainbow, and become parental figures for both of them. scooter sprite’s parents are shitty and neglectful, and rainbow’s parents are manipulative, controlling, and overbearing—needless to say, neither of them have good relationships with their parents. but! they love each other and their aunts very much and theyre a happy family together

also, like in canon fim, rainbow has been friends with meadowbrook (fluttershy) since childhood! she often tries to get meadowbrook to make more friends, hyping him up for social events and stuff... it doesnt usually work though. secretly rainbow feels a little held back by meadowbrook, who is very attached to her and doesnt have any other friends, but she still loves him of course! theyll work thru those issues eventually

why was twilight twinkle created? did princess solstice just want to test their ability? does twilight view them as a parent figure?

twilight twinkle was created to bring back princess equinox (luna) because solstice doesnt have the power to do so on her own. she needs more alicorn magic to free her sister, so she needs another alicorn. she tried to raise several students with the goal of turning them into alicorns, but each one rebelled or failed her in some way. (feel free to ask about former students heheh)

so solstice decided the only way to truly control a student was to create one herself… a synthesized pony made entirely of magic, which solstice would be able to fully control while she built up enough power to turn her into an alicorn.

twilight definitely WANTS solstice to be a mother figure to her, and she admires solstice deeply. she wants to live up to her expectations no matter what. however, twilights real family growing up were her bodyguard (titanium shine, who acts as her older brother) and the canterlot librarian (who was a motherlike figure for her in her younger years)

ALSOOO i love the starryverse au SO MUCH i was actually telling lily about it the other day because she loooooves zane from ninjago and his thing is that he’s actually a robot, and the “artificially-made being who wasn’t originally made with love and friendship in mind, but learns to love anyway” vibes i got from starryverse twilight reminded me of him!!!!!!! aaaaaaaa it’s enough to make-a me cry

YESS THATS EXACTLY HOW TWILIGHT IS MEANT TO BE IN THIS AU!!! she is essentially a magical robot/ai, meant to be able to function on her own but not act outside of her “programming” (ie celestias control over her) but of COURSE she breaks this and learns that even if shes not a Real Alive Thing, what IS real is her love for her friends and the world around her… T__T

YES!!! dont worry solstice is very morally grey but shes not irredeemable! she loves equinox very much and never meant to send her away, she just wanted to stop her from hurting herself and others and in a split-second decision she used the elements… its all very lullaby for a princess. so yes there is goodness and love in her heart and she will be redeemed
