I have a mild form of narcolepsy coupled with extreme sleep apnea. And nobody ever understands why I'm tired ALL THE FUCKING TIME and why I SLEEP all the fucking time. I've never ever seen a positive post about it and seeing this made me really happy. Thanks for this1
I wanna try to bring up narcolepsy awareness in some way that can really show people that it’s not some ha-ha funny goats passing out thing. It’s a real illness that is very difficult to live with.

When I'm struggling I usually cling to my happy memories of my childhood at elementary school, before I got chronically ill. The idea that you don't even have that, and yet are so strong and positive and creative now as an adult blows my mind!! And, I guess, gives me hope that I can become happy like this too. That my happiness didn't have to have ended for good when I became sick. Thanks for sharing your experiences as always
I’m glad it’s helpful. It’s been a journey, that’s for sure. It’s interesting thinking back on everything and realizing that even before it got this severe, I was always sick. Something was always wrong and we just never knew.
