Fabian’s hands had been feeling shaky for the past twenty minutes and he knew that if he didn’t eat anything soon, it wouldn’t be good. Being the only one to show up for band practice yet, he ripped open a candy bar and started to devour it with delight only to slow his indulgence when someone entered the garage. “You’re exactly 18 minutes late,” Fabian announced with a huff. “Practice was supposed to start at 5:30 pm.”
Cooking was a stress reliever for him. It helped him keep his mind off of silly things and gave him a chance to focus. Maxwelll stood in the center of his kitchen and counted out all the ingredients on his list for the pizza. Once he was sure that all the basic ingredients were accounted for, he moved to the fridge and pulled out what he would need to make drinks. Anyone that knew about his job, could have guessed that he had an espresso machine in his home that was used to make all sorts of things. He grabbed sugar, milk, and vanilla syrup before placing them on the counter. His body froze when he heard the doorbell and he headed towards the door as quickly as his legs could carry him. One second passed -- two -- and then he opened the door with a smile. “Well, looks like you didn’t need my help. Come on in.”
As I entered the FAST2011 Batch Student Government, I already have been given the opportunity to head one of the biggest projects for our batch which is entitled, START 2 EARN while you LEARN, a project which aims to provide part-time jobs to both Undergraduate and Graduate Lasallian Students. This project was given to my committee because the manpower needed for this project falls under the Marketing and Public Relations Committee which is headed by me. I could say that efforts from my committee were not put into waste. After almost a year of preparations, I could say that I as well as my committee did a job well done. I thank the whole Marketing and Public Relations Committee as well as the FAST2011 Batch Student Government for trusting me and my committee with this project. I would also like to thank the Office of the Vice President for External Affairs for being one of our partners for this project and most especially, the Office of the Admissions and Scholarships of De La Salle University-Manila for giving us the opportunity to launch START II Program. I would also like to thank our partner companies and sponsors for being one with us in providing Lasallian students the opportunity to be able to earn money while they are still in school.
Every effort that I have exerted surely was not put into waste. A job well done to everyone who made this possible and I wish all the luck to the applicants of the said program.
Beneath the sheets of paper lies my truth | Lex & GaiusIgnatius
Start of day 2 :: (10 remaining RP)
Lex woke in the strangest position, jolting upright as he realized he'd somehow woven himself into Iggy's arms. He shook the nightmare from his memory, as well as the nagging feeling of someone having taken care of him throughout it. Ana wasn't here to calm the nightmares. Ana wasn't anywhere, as his subconscious had very clearly showed him. He lifted himself gently off the bed, not wanting to incur any more of the king's wrath by waking him up. He hadn't expected the boy's words to be so full of malice, that he really had that much of an effect. Lex had a banging in his head that he was certain would be there forever, and he scanned the room for his pants. Shrugging, he pulled on his boxers and left the pants on the ground. He didn't have anywhere to be, may as well stay comfortable. Lex padded around the suite, noting that it had remained empty, just as the king had ordered. Must be nice, he thought bitterly. Back in Toledo, no one took orders from Lex. Sure, they needed him for some stuff, and he was a pretty hot commodity when brains were needed, which honestly was saying something about the intelligence of the rest of the crew, but they didn't respect him like this. He knew if last night had been at the flat where his crew lived, no one would have stayed away. They'd all be crushed against the door, listening and making "encouraging" noises.
Lex spotted the kitchenette and rummaged around for some food. If he was in the suite of a king, he was gonna milk it for all it was worth. Maybe if Iggy was sober, he'd be more fun to play with. Plus, it wasn't like Lex had anywhere better to be. This was by far one of the nicest places on the ship and the blond wasn't gonna waste the fact that he had free reign over it, at least for a few more minutes. He grabbed a box of cereal and a bowl that must've cost more than his cell phone and soaked it in milk. Snatching a few snacks from the cupboard as well, Lex made his way back into the bedroom where he thought he heard the rustling that meant Iggy was waking. He settled himself in an armchair and propped up his feet on the corner of the bed, digging into the cereal.
It didn't look like the boy wanted to wake up, so Lex swallowed his bite of cereal and cleared his throat loudly. "You know it's rude to keep your guests waiting on you," he smirked, shoveling more food into his mouth. His headache was fading, but the rest of his ached. He realized the kid had put up a pretty good fight, for a virgin, and also that his body must be screaming for more drugs. It'd been hours since he'd touched anything besides Iggy, and he somehow doubted the king would be up for round two just so he could relieve the pain in his body. Looking at the boy, it was hard to forget how he woke up, or even the nightmares that were so similar to the ones he had every night, but how they'd subsided. He furrowed his brow, trying to make sense of it.
"By the way, you didn't like..." his face contorted in faux disgust. "Sing to me, did you?" He asked lightly, trying to make a joke of it. No one had sung Lex to sleep in years, not since he stopped sleeping in the room down the hall from his sister.
