Tatlong taon, tatlong taon kong paulit-ulit na pinatunayan ang sarili ko. Tatlong taon akong nagbigay serbisyo para sa inyo. May posisyon man o wala, hindi ako tumigil na ipakita sa inyo that I deserve it, that I am the best person for it. The fight does not stop here. My service won't end here. Patuloy ko pa din na patutunayan ang sarili ko. Wait for it because I will be back stronger and this time, I will fight harder and better. To everyone who believed and supported me, thank you. We all know that I am the winner in everyone's hearts. To my family and friends, thank you for always having my back and for always supporting me. To my Governess, the Core, and my EMCs, thank you for fighting hard with and for me. To Tapat, I will forever be grateful for the trust and the opportunity that you have given me. To my 10 other CLA brave salmons, we are all winners. We will never stop fighting for the idea and the platform that we have created and worked hard for. To my batchmates, thank you for believing and trusting me. To the 110 and below who voted for me, even if your votes were not counted, I still want to thank you for the trust. To Pam, I am so proud of you. Do not let them bring you down. You will not be alone there, I promise. More than just student empowerment, ensuring you with quality and advocacy-based programs. Hello there, dear Anon :)Honestly, I have a lot of plans after graduating college. After finishing my Undergraduate Degree, I would like to work for 1-2 years then go back to studying again. I want to take my Master's Degree soon. Also, I want to travel around the world soon as I graduate :)

Quitting will never be an option. This would probably be my number one reminder to my babies. Throughout the Academic School Year, our committee has been through a lot of struggles and challenges. Some may have quitted, but we will always be in each other's hearts. I am very thankful to have these lovely kids who continuously motivates me and who keeps on reminding me why I continue to serve. I may have quitted, but it does not mean that I would stop from serving other people. I thank my kids for always being the best and doing their best. I am very proud in each and everyone of you. You have grown and become great student-leaders. I hope you continue to serve and to inspire other people because you all undeniably inspired me a lot. FAST2011 MARKETING AND PUBLIC RELATIONS' COMMITTEE (AY 2012-2013)

            Love and Service. I think these are the two words best to describe the Marketing and Public Relations Committee.

         Love. This is the basis of everything that my committee does. We do not give out service for the sake of delivering projects to our batch mates but because we do it all out of our love. Service. The passion to give service to other people is what makes us continue what we are doing. It is not just because of having credentials but because of us wanting to be of service to people.

          As what I have always said, quitting will never be an option for my committee. Quitting does not mean that we quit from the position entitled to us rather, it means that we will never stop from serving even if we do not get anything in return. Every day I ask myself, why do I continue doing this? For whom and for what? I continue because my kids need me. I may no longer hold the position as their Chairperson but I will always be in their hearts. For the past two terms, I have been asking myself what I have done to my committee. Have I just taught them to get sponsorships and make captions or have I done something that is beyond what is written in my job description? Every single day I pray that I have done more than what I should do as a Chairperson until the day that I have finally decided to give up and quit. Why? I have many reasons to tell you but sometimes, it is best to keep it to myself. Sometimes, quitting is the only choice that I have. I may be hurt because I am the one person who pushes my kids not to give up but I ended up to be the first one to give up. I regret leaving them hanging but I do not regret choosing myself first this time around. I have made a decision that benefited me a lot and it led to a happier and a better me.

         We ought to make decisions that may be difficult at first but worth it in the end.

FAST2011 BATCH STUDENT GOVERNMENT (AY 2012-2013)

                    It is about to end.

          The Academic School Year 2012-2013 has been a very tough year for me not only because of my academics but also because of my extra-curricular activities. As I started of this Academic Year, I was given the opportunity to be the Chairperson for Marketing and Public Relations. It was my first time to be the head of a committee so I had mixed emotions on what and on how I should feel. I was overwhelmed during the time that I was offered the position. I thought hard about it since I know that there will be a lot of struggles and sacrifices once I accept the job. But I also thought that the elected officers trust me that much that they saw that potential in me. I doubted myself at first but I also wanted to know my limits and my capabilities. As the school year approaches its end, I am really thankful for accepting the offer given to me almost a year ago. There are times that I have asked myself why I accepted it in the first place and then I thought of my batch mates and how I am able to serve them through that position. I may have given up but I am pretty sure that I have given my all. I have sacrificed a lot and I do not regret to be of service not only to my FAST2011 batch mates and the whole Lasallian community but also to the whole society.

          Sometimes we are ought to make decisions that would benefit ourselves and our future. Quitting is sometimes the key to a better future ahead of us. I may no longer hold the position as the Chairperson of Marketing and Public Relations but I will forever be in service of St. La Salle.

START 2 EARN WHILE YOU LEARN

          Work. Project. Accomplishments.

          As I entered the FAST2011 Batch Student Government, I already have been given the opportunity to head one of the biggest projects for our batch which is entitled, START 2 EARN while you LEARN, a project which aims to provide part-time jobs to both Undergraduate and Graduate Lasallian Students. This project was given to my committee because the manpower needed for this project falls under the Marketing and Public Relations Committee which is headed by me. I could say that efforts from my committee were not put into waste. After almost a year of preparations, I could say that I as well as my committee did a job well done. I thank the whole Marketing and Public Relations Committee as well as the FAST2011 Batch Student Government for trusting me and my committee with this project. I would also like to thank the Office of the Vice President for External Affairs for being one of our partners for this project and most especially, the Office of the Admissions and Scholarships of De La Salle University-Manila for giving us the opportunity to launch START II Program. I would also like to thank our partner companies and sponsors for being one with us in providing Lasallian students the opportunity to be able to earn money while they are still in school.

          Every effort that I have exerted surely was not put into waste. A job well done to everyone who made this possible and I wish all the luck to the applicants of the said program.

CHANGE

                    Change. A very big word. How can I say so?

         People say that the only permanent thing in this world is change. At first, I did not believe that change is possible merely because of the fact that I cannot feel and see it to myself until I started looking back from my past.

        These people are the people that I have met for not quite long but they have already made a great impact in my life. These are the people that I have never thought to be with until I was able to find my true self. As I started out in college, I had a different set of friends and environment. I believed that this is the time in which I am bound to explore things and be able to find myself with the friends whom I truly belong with. As I am about to finish half of my college life, I started doubting whether I have the right group of friends or not. I joined a socio-political party back then which I really love, but as time passes by, my values and my beliefs started to change and it is not in line with theirs anymore which resulted to my decision of switching political parties. People may call me “selfish” because of it but I am happy with the decision I have made and I do not regret any of it. This is the family that I will be fighting for not only during my college life but until the end. This is where I belong and I am not afraid to face the consequences of my decision.

          I had a change of heart and I know that it happens in life. I do not regret any decision that I made for I am happier than what I used and expected to be.

AFTER ALL

            Writing is something that I ought to do. I love it and it amuses me on how I am able to express myself through it.

          It has been a while since I last wrote a blog. Actually, I used to blog a lot or even write short notes on my diary on how I feel deep inside. I stopped at the time that I had a hard time balancing my time between my academics and my extra-curricular activities. I find pleasure and amity every time I caught myself into writing. Why? Because through writing, I am able to express what I really feel without anybody judging me. I grew up as a quiet little girl who does not know how to express and to word out her feelings to other people. As I look back to the memoirs of my past, I endlessly ask myself, “what if”? These are not the simple “what ifs” that we ask every time we regret something that we should have done before which would perhaps change our lives rather, these are “what ifs” that would help me in opening myself up to people. I assumed that each time I speak up, I will hurt the feelings of others or I might be a burden to them, but then I realized that I was right and I was wrong at the same time. Yes, I found out that people should be cautious of what they say and that there is a right time and right place for everything. But what I regret the most, is keeping what I feel deep down inside to myself. I had the chance and I did not seize it. I do not regret it because I let go of the opportunity but I regret it because I failed to let other people listen to what I had to say. I can say this because as I have been growing, I had the chance to observe people, of how they talk, they listen, they care, they act, and the like. By merely being silent gives you tons of benefits, something that I irrefutably learned from my past experiences. Writing has been my friend ever since I learned that many people will judge you by the mistake you make not by the amount of your good deeds. This is not my way to run away from the people who judge me but to solely keep my thoughts within myself without those who pretend to be there for me and act as if they listen. I am not saying that people are great pretenders; I just wanted to have that peace of mind inside me. I wanted to hear my own thoughts and to think deeply about my decisions.

          Writing is probably one of the many things that I love to do. I learn from experiences and through this, I am able to reminisce from the memories that only my mind could ponder from time to time.
