So my arm is a little tired of being rubbed raw as I rewrite words, so I guess I'm happy with this. April is sexual assault and abuse awareness month, and when Lady Gaga sang this song at the Oscars, it made this survivor tear up. This issue effects so many of us. Chances are, even if you think that you don't know someone who has been touched by this, then they probably just haven't talked about it. One in four women and one in six men will be sexually abused or assaulted before they turn eighteen. One in five women will be raped in their lifetime, and one in seventy-one men. On top of those staggering numbers, we need to understand that these are some of the most underreported crimes that we deal with, so how accurate they are, I honestly couldn't tell you. We need to be able to start the discussion, because if we won't talk about it, nothing will change. So share this video, share the statistics, start a discussion, and enjoy the rest of your night. #sexualassaultawarenessmonth #acapellaapp #ladygaga #survivors #nomore #ordinaryisextraordinary #startbybelieving #saam @ladygaga @acapellaapp
