Aprt #2 Suit #06 | Chihiro & Kano
The building wasn't too intimidating, but Kano had been stopped in front of it for the past little while now, fingers aching as the streetlamps flickered on. He shifted his weight for the umpteenth time and adjusted his grip on the box of belongings he held. Today was supposed to be moving day, but he had managed to drag it out into the night. Maybe it was the unsettling feeling that he couldn't quite place where it was he was moving from, whether it was far away or close by, or whether he was leaving anyone behind. He felt like he stood before the jaws of a giant fiend of fate, and while he would have to be swallowed eventually, some self-preservation instinct in him still resisted.
The mask constructed itself on instinct--probably--and painting over his nervous disposition with an illusion of calm purpose. Though Shuuya might have wanted to hang around outside a little longer, Kano forcibly launched himself into the belly of the beast, wry grin of resignation hidden under his eyes.
Apartment 2 was sought after for its rustic approach, holding forte in both simplicity and relaxing atmosphere--or at least, according to the brochure. Indeed, the hallways didn't have much in the way of decorations, save for a potted plant here or there. With his single box filled primarily with a change of clothes, Kano had to admit it suited him.
He found the door to 'his' room was already ajar a crack, and logical reasoning told him his roommate must have missed closing it all the way. If the door swung inwards, he could have kicked it open and gotten an explosive first impression!... but since when had his luck been that good. He stared down from the doorknob to his box, too heavy to support with only one hand.
The idea had already worked its way to his motor functions before he could plan it much further, impulse one of his greater flaws. With a crash, he carelessly tossed the box forwards, effectively scattering its contents as it shut the door closed with a slam. "A~ah! Whoopsie daises~" he called out in a slightly too loud of voice, cheshire grin spreading across his face.
