just werewolf things
When Dalton first came to this city, the wolves were in disarray. There was no order, no tradition, and certainly no pride within the community. Sure, his Appalachian upbringing might’ve given him some ideas that were just backwoods hick dreams with little place in the twenty-first century, but the old ways worked. Dalton established himself as the city’s one true Alpha soon after arriving and what started as a small band of believers in his ways has turned into a massive network operating under his orders. After months of working tirelessly, he’s managed to pull the werewolf community together once more but of course, at a cost. Other Alphas were still causing trouble in his territory by refusing to acknowledge him and the loners who’ve chosen to separate themselves from the pack will continuously be a source of unplanned friction. Still, Dalton made a vow that when he became the city’s Alpha that he’d do his best to look out for every wolf that lived in his territory, pack or not.
That promise plays over and over in his head while he does his best to keep his composure. Despite having a full plate and a new day’s worth of problems to solve, Dalton has found the time to come down to the police precinct. Wolf business is his business, and a rotten pup intentionally causing trouble so close to a full moon is most certainly his business. He’s heard plenty of stories about the kid’s antics before today yet placed dealing with him on a back burner. Loners were allowed to continue their lives in his city so long as they followed the new rules, a lesson that this one apparently still hasn’t learned. Dalton turns from the barred-off window of the interrogation room he’s waiting in when the door opens. After giving the runt a quick once over, he nods to his packmate so they can be left alone to have their little chat. “I want you to know that the only reason you aren’t being thrown in a jail cell is that you got lucky. Deputies have better things to do than babysit punks like you.” Clearly, he regards himself as a man who needs no introduction and despite never being acquainted with the younger wolf, Dalton’s perfectly comfortable lording the power of his status over him.
“Next time, it might not be one of my guys hauling your delinquent ass away—remember that. Take a seat, kid. I’ll give you one minute to explain why I shouldn’t just exile you from my territory right now.”
