Headcanon - startouched elves are like hamsters. They just can’t stand each other and if are forced to be together for a longer span of time - like, not even a month at most? - they absolutely would bite each other heads off. That’s why they’re so rare and hard too find/meet - they have huge territories and live alone. If by alone we mean their own race. The only exceptions are made for children and these really old ones, because they both just need help in every day life. But as soon as child is start turning into teenager, they become more and more insufferable with time, and need to leave the nest, or i swear to supernova, one more smirk and some witty comment, and i will go through your throat with my own teeth, that’s how annoying you are, young elf. I know what i’m saying, i was like that at your age and still i’m.
