They say that eyes are the window to the soul. Well, that was doubly true in Hell. As the reining Queen, she could peer into the souls of Sinners who come to Hell. She could see that Alastor had a great of respect for women and was quite the talented hunter of his own kin. Perfect. She would much rather her people sort out each other as survival of the fittest than have Heaven involved. This was bound to be quite the entertaining show, should he agree to her terms.

A soft chuckle slipped from her lips, looking down to Alastor.

"What I offer you, is power. Consider it a bit of an upgrade to what you have now. I shall lend you the power of shadows. From there, you will have the ability to fight of any lesser demon or Sinner, but most importantly, other Overlords. Thus, where my fee comes into play. Upon agreeing to my deal, I will give you power to climb the power ladder. However, to do so, you must kill a number of Overlords.

There is an over population of them here. You have two choices upon dealing with them. Kill them, dealing with their souls as you see fit or..make a contract with them. It would reduce their power and their threat level will be terminated. As you build up your reputation, I may inquire for an escort by you. My husband..your King, is not a social creature. He only attends gatherings if he absolutely must. However, that is not always the case. So I may inquire you to join me a time or two at royal galas and the like. Think you can handle that?"

A startled yelp sounds from the cat sinner and her body jolts as well. The cracks Alastor made as he turned his head sounded unnerving. While Black Star and Alastor hadn't been formally introduced, the feline had heard whispers on Hell's streets about the Radio Demon. That he wasn't one to be messed with and was quite powerful.

"Oh, s-sorry.. sir!" She stammers her apology and quickly bows her head in fearful compliance. "I-I-I was just concerned, I swear." The feline states her reasoning, but would the Overlord believe her? "Um.. m-maybe I.." grey hands fumble together while the feline slowly tilts her head back up, trying to meet Alastor's gaze despite her quivering form. "Could m-m-make you some t-t-t-tea?"

It wasn't that he necessarily hated the rain, but he couldn't say he loved it either. Especially since being made entirely of fur, rain was something that had only gotten worse over time. It soaked him to the point it took longer to dry off, it plastered the fur to his skin, it messed up his appearance. Which typically pissed off Val, as if Angel could control the fucking weather.

He had actually been walking back from work, hating that he didn't just have a fucking car, but Valentino was in control of his money and never gave the spider enough to be able to buy one. It didn't help that Angel was an incredibly reckless driver, either, but who wasn't in Hell? He hadn't been that far from the hotel honestly, when the skies had seemed to open up. Not just a little trickle, but opened up.

There was no way to avoid it, and Angel was already soaked by the time he found shelter, mascara tracking down his face. He groaned, pushing the fluff that had fallen flat and over his eyes, before blinking as he realized that he wasn't alone. "Alastor?" He questioned, glancing over and - sure enough, definitely the Radio Demon. Angel was blinking, arms wrapped around himself, shivering slightly. Work also meant minimal clothing.

"Th' fuck yeh' doin' here? Can't yeh' just....magic yeh' way back t' the hotel?"

"Ah' dunno, because yeh' secretly like me and just don't wanna admit it?" He teased, batting his eyelashes. Really, he had been surprised that Alastor had agreed to this in the first place. He had fully been expecting the other to tell him to fuck off, rather than entertain the idea of what Angel Dust had been asking him. Which made him think about something that Alastor would say, eyes bright and shining.

"What about just f' th' pure entertainment?" He hummed, swirling the bourbon that was in his glass. "Yeh' know it would be some amusin' ammo." If anything, it would work to piss off the Vees. Which was something that both himself and the Radio Demon seemed to have in common - their ultimate disdain for those Overlords. Living there, he had heard a lot. Seen a lot. But, something had always been a mystery.

The relationship between Vox and Alastor.

Sure, maybe Alastor felt that he didn't get anything out of telling anyone. Vox, as far as he had known, had kept it incredibly under wraps, not wanting a soul to know about their feud. It had made Angel wonder what had truly happened, especially because he knew one thing - Alastor had beaten him at something, and Alastor had been asked to join the Vees and turned them down. He could understand why the Vees would want someone as powerful as the deer demon, but still.

"Ain't nothin' wrong wit' tellin' me the deets. Besides, ah' can use it against Vox if needed, and possibly throw it in his face. Ain't that entertainin' enough? It's clear th' guy is after yeh' t' some degree, if he sent Pentious here t' spy. Horribly, might ah' add." Sipping slowly at the bourbon, as one would drinking tea while gossiping. "So what's the scoop. Why is there so much beef between th' two of yeh'?"

It didn’t feel over. Angel hadn’t meant to fall asleep on the couch that night, he really hadn’t. He would know better than to do that, considering the amount of nightmares that his trauma caused him. He tried so hard to keep that buckled down at all costs, not let anyone see the destruction that he was put through daily, and how each day he was slowly dying. He put on the act, went over the top, and would not have his break downs until he was comfortable, in bed, and holding Nuggets as his emotional support animal.

So to fall asleep in the middle of the fucking lobby had been a serious misstep. Husk knew about his trauma. Maybe not to the degree of it, but. Charlie knew most of all, considering what she had witnessed firsthand at the studio. But per his request, she had stayed out of it, and not brought it up to anyone. She had seen how bad it could get, whereas the others just assumed that he was losing his sanity due to the ridiculous work hours and nature of the job.

But for Alastor of all people to find him? If he hadn’t been so startled, it would have sent him into even more panic. He had woken up screaming, fingers clutching his hair to the point he was nearly pulling out chunks of white fur. His eyes were still closed, tears spilling down the cheeks that were now running with make-up he had fallen asleep in, lower arms circling his legs and tugging them to his body as he had rocked back and forth. He had no idea what he was saying, but anyone who had been close enough would know he was begging. No, Valentino, don’t hurt meh’, ah’ promise ah’ll be a good boy, ah’ won’t do it again, please…please Val….

Only snapping out of it upon hearing the Radio Demon’s voice, eyes shooting open, filled with fear and confusion. He stared around mindlessly, as if trying to understand how the studio had possibly become the hotel. Lost and confused and fucking scared. He tried to do what Al had said, taking deep breaths through his mouth, and pushing out through his lungs. Slowly. Surely. He was at the hotel. He was safe. Nothing would harm him here. Didn’t stop him from shaking, eyes darting as if Valentino could show up at any moment. If he showed up claiming he wanted redemption, would Charlie let him in?

“W-where am ah’? What time is it?” His voice sounded so meek compared to his over the top boisterous attitude, eyes blinking owlishly at Alastor. “…what are yeh’ doin’ here?”

“You know… it doesn’t surprise me in the slightest that someone had to determine his own identity by poll…”

“Not even original enough to choose your own name. Color me so shocked.”

Claws tapping on his chair as he on purpose tunes out the Radio Demon and that stupid fake transatlantic accent. It easy enough task to do so he turns his chair all the way around keeping his back to the other sticking his middle finger up as he does so.

And people say he was the obsessed one.

"I'm sorry I couldn't quite hear you over the sound of me not giving fuck what you think a common trend when it comes to you now days." Tone chipper and bright as his hand scribble down notes on the document in front of him.

"Don't let the door hit you on the way out since I don't have the time for you and creepy obsessive bullshit today."

"I used to say I'll sleep when I'm dead. Well I'm now dead and still not sleeping funny huh?" No this wasn't funny in the slightest. One day he'll learn not to burn the midnight oils till that day he just got to be trapped in this vicious cycle: work passes out, maybe eat and repeat.

"Why do you even give a shit? Isn't my suffering something you get off on?" He doesn't mean to suddenly get so defensive but this was Alastor he was stuck dealing with. One of the worst ways he could end his working day. "I'm sure the great and powerful radio demon has a better way to spend his evening then checking in on me? Kind not in the mood for mixed messages."
