New Heights
Ship: Adam/Vox
Prompt: Oooh, I remember you've reblogged fanart of Adam taking Vox flying, and I remember thinking that would be an extremely cute moment to read about in prose. [...] - @actualbookwyvern
Inspired by @bunsihunsi's artwork.
“Holy shit!” Adam threw back his head and laughed, as Vox wrapped his arms tighter around Adam’s strangle-able neck. Adam squeezed Vox closer to his chest as he flapped his wings and soared them higher into the sky, away from V Tower. “You’re so fucking scared!”
Vox huffed exaggeratedly and rolled his eyes. His shoulders shook as he forced a laugh out of his chest, bypassing his pounding heart and the stream of adrenaline the organ was pumping through his veins. “As if!”
Adam arched his stupid brow. “Oh, really?” Smugness coated the question.
Vox scowled and opened his mouth to protest.
…and screamed instead as Adam somersaulted. Gravity gripped at Vox, grabbing every part of him except where Adam’s arms had him pinned. Even then, gravity was putting in the god damn effort to pry him off Adam.
Vox swung his legs around Adam’s waist and dug his nails into the back of Adam’s neck.
He should have known not to trust this asshole. Fuck his brain and his stupid feelings for accepting Adam’s offer to hold him and show him what flying was like. Fuck him for being a romantic at heart and not seeing Adam’s offer as prank potential, instead, envisioning it as a romantic scene from a movie.
Adam wasn’t a big gestures romantic—he was little gestures romantic, at best. Like remembering your drunken rambles at three in the morning a week later, and asking things like: “So have you dealt with that bitch yet?” Then offering to deal with the person if Vox wasn’t up to the task.
Adam also was curious about Vox’s interests and creations. When it came to the business end of things, Adam couldn’t care less about the numbers and sales, but whenever Vox had a new prototype or show, Adam always wanted to see it. Not only did he want to see it, but he gave excellent feedback. Adam wasn’t one to mince words, and he wasn’t intimidated by Vox. If something sucked, Adam shared his opinion about it. However, when something was good, he sang its praises.
He also wasn’t shy about slipping in a few praises for Vox either, usually along the lines of: “How did you even come up with this? This is awesome!”
And now Vox was moments away from plummeting to his temporary death, all because he liked Adam.
How pathetic.
Adam flipped them upright, a wide-toothy grin cutting across his face as he looked down at Vox in his arms. “You’re actually kind of cute when you’re panicking.”
“Oh. Good.” Vox paused for a beat, then screamed, “PUT ME DOWN, RIGHT NOW!!!” Vox flailed one arm as he white knuckled Adam’s neck with the other. His elbow knocked it Adam’s cheek.
Adam yelped and jerked his head back, causing Vox’s torso to flop against his chest. “Watch it!”
Vox glanced down at V Tower. Cameracameracameracameracamera, he thought, until he spotted a security camera on top of the tower. With just a thought, he shifted into pure electricity, zapping himself into the camera. Once inside it, he entered the tower’s security system, then he reformed his body inside his bedroom.
He appeared in front of the large window that overlooked the city, giving him the perfect view of Adam, who was still in the sky. Vox held his head high as he clasped his hands behind his back and glowered at Adam.
Adam was too far away for Vox to see the details of his expression, but Adam appeared to be digging around in his robe for something. Whatever it was, Adam soon found it and brought the object to his ear.
An incoming phone call displayed on Vox’s head monitor. Vox swiftly answered the call.
“Cheater,” Adam pouted over the line.
Vox slowly unclasped his hand, raised it in front of him and extended his middle finger toward the sky.
“Bitch.” Adam mirrored Vox’s action, much to Vox’s amusement.
“Oh no,” Vox feigned concern. “The tower’s security system now has you listed as a threat. You’ll be shot on sight if you get too close.”
Adam gasped. “You did not!”
Vox smirked. “Why don’t you come over here and find out?”
“Oh, it is so on!” A rough giddiness entered Adam’s voice; he loved a challenge. “Loser buys winner dinner.”
“You don’t have any money,” Vox stated.
“Which is why I’m gonna win.” Adam hung up and dove toward the tower.
Vox grinned maniacally. This was going to be fun.
@tvkissercentral Prompt: "[...] Adam trying to get Vox to do a dirty hobby (like something involving mud), but Vox is too prissy to do it lol?"
((Tbh, this is less "hobby" and more "Adam tries to mud wrestle Vox. Hope that's okay. Also, brief Valentino mention in this.))
Warnings: Suggestive, Rough Housing, & Written Nudity
“Adam, baby, sweet cheeks,” Vox chuckled through each endearment as he rose to his tiptoes and hooked his arm around Adam’s shoulder. He reeled Adam in so their cheeks pressed together. Except, Vox’s cheek was a nice hard edge that pushed into Adam’s chubby one and rubbed against the bone, causing Adam to scowl in irritation. Good. Vox wasn’t the only one who should be annoyed.
“What the FUCK,” Vox shouted into Adam’s ear, then laughed nervously, “did you do to the bathroom?”
Adam jabbed his elbow into Vox’s ribs, forcing Vox to let go of him. The jab was barely a tap compared to how much strength Adam wielded in that pear-shaped body of his. The guy might look soft with all of his curves and pudginess, but he could easily punch through a wall if he wanted. He wasn’t the former leader of the exorcists for nothing.
“Jeez, you screech louder than a bitch singing metal.” Adam rubbed his ear tenderly while grimacing.
Adam got ur man 💙🍑🤘 secret santa pic for Cat
Vox taking off his coat.
Adam: "Oh yeah, baby, take it off."
Vox pops his head off his body.
Adam: Screams. "What the fuck!"
Vox: "Will you shut up and hold my head? How else am I supposed to get these clothes off?"
Vox shoves his head into Adam's arms and proceeds to get undressed.
Adam: Shudders. "This is sick man."
Adam: "...I'm still gonna fuck him though."
HOT MESS DEAL
Ship: Adam/Vox | AO3 Link
Summary: Vox confronts Adam about how much he is spending.
“What the fuck is all of this?” Vox thrust the credit card bill in Adam’s cheese powdered face. The obnoxious man kept chewing on the cheesy corn puffs in his mouth, Vox’s anger holding no threat or value for him. Adam’s cheese coated hand dipped into the bag of corn puffs. He held one up to Vox’s face like he was offering it up to Vox.
Vox wasn’t falling for it. Adam loved to offer him food, then yank it away at the last second.
Adam swallowed the food in his mouth and licked his orange stained lips. “No idea, babe. You know I prefer voice memos.”
Electricity sparked between Vox’s fingers, burning the bill to ashes. Vox growled as he wiped his hand on his suit jacket. He’d printed out a physical copy of the damn bill to make a point—Adam responded best to visual aids, unless it came to reading, apparently.
