You trembled when you saw Gabe’s beanie left on the bed, didn’t you? Ahahah! Maybe it’s important that I say this: in the beginning, I was considering a very baaaad, sad ending. But then, uh… dunno. I feel better this way, I guess. I hope you liked it anyway even if it seems a little… booooring and oversentimental. Especially the part with Gabriel’s note in the beanie. OMG. Kill me, please. but i love these cute things
The official song which inspired this comic but then the comic went completely somewhere else, so consider it just like a curiosity, not a soundtrack itself. The whole Album Living Things whispers me about both pre-fall and post-fall Jack/Gabe. I suggest you to listen. Powerless is one of my favourite Linkin Park’s songs in general but it also brings sad memories, ough.
Ok, if you were too lazy to play that game, I’m gonna tell you what’s in Jack’s room: Gabe cleaned it up before he left and then (focus on the area near the window) made a cup of coffee for Jack. Also, there’s a cigarette still smoking which on the balcony, which he probably forgot.
Since this comic has no title, wanna try to suggest one? Just in case. Unless you agree with me on “50 shades of Jack Morrison’s Ass.”
I hope we could share the headcanon that Gabriel has a very bad handwriting or sort of. (kinda autobiographic, haha!) Also, talking about that note specifically, I really couldn’t come up with something better that just: “I already miss you, keep my stupid hat safe and sound.” Seriously, I’’ve tried, but, no. Nothing. Sorry. I even dared to consider to make him write “I love you”.
I hope Athena trolling the Strike-Comander becomes canon. (lol) I’m joking, guys. Never gonna happen. But, seriously: a not-trolling Athena would have certain woke Jack up in time.
I have feelings for Gabe being a (gay) super dad to all the recruits. At least, until a certain point… when he became distant like in this picture of them. He’s like teared apart, in the shadow… ough, it hurts me so much…
I guess I’m done. So, mind an after credits scene? Dhehehehe.

UPDATE: Added two new panels which explain why Gabe’s beanie is sweet and clean again after what happened in part 11 - second edition. And he did not only that: he cleaned up the blood all over the base and probably burnt the dirty pillow as well. :>
