How many versions of this song will I post? This is #2.
Hehe, how many do they have?
The Angel Islington by @hollywalkersong + @Woodythedrum for @StationSessions This is from her Sob Stories EP and is one of my favorite tracks! Crazy good play of chords, great voice and playful melody.
First saw her on To Kill A King's Ralph's Balcony Sessions. I instantly fell in love with her track Panic Breeds Panic. It ridiculously twisted my tongue trying to sing it. Oh and she plays the piano incredibly good! Like crazy good. [Okay I'm being a fan here. She's awesome!]
HEAVEN'S BASEMENT REVIEW AND MINI INTERVIEW
Our ever-brilliant intern Demi has caught up with one of her favourite rock bands and gives us the exclusive lowdown...
Heaven's Basement are the band on every rock fan's lips at the moment. After a manic 2012 of touring the world and recording, they released their debut ‘Filthy Empire’ in early 2013 and since then general interest has skyrocketed and their already fiercely loyal and dedicated fan base has begun expanding at an exciting rate.
After two hugely well received sets at Download festival 2013 and a live session at Maida Vale studios for BBC Radio, the boys played an acoustic set at St Pancras International for The Station Sessions today before flying over to Europe to tour for the rest of the month and then returning to the UK in July for yet another tour.
After the show I caught up with the boys to see how they felt about the set, how the album has been received and how they’re coping with their manic tour schedule.
I spoke to Sid Glover, Guitarist and founding member of Heaven's Basement.
Q1. Awesome set guys, did you enjoy it?
A1. It was amazing thanks, this whole tour has had the best shows Heaven's Basement have ever played.
Q2. So your debut ‘Filthy Empire’ was released earlier this year - a lot of people have been waiting years for this album... Are you happy with how it’s been received? And the album as a whole?
A2. Yeh, we had a real clear vision for how we wanted the album to sound. We got it how we wanted it and the fact the other people are enjoying it so much is great to see! I think people can see that it's honest and that we didn't try to engineer anything about it to succeed, just to make an album we got off on.
Q3. You guys have been touring like crazy for the past year and a half, whilst juggling various award ceremonies and of course, recording the album. So how are you finding it? It must be amazing for you. What are your highlights of 2012 and 2013 so far?
A3. It's been pretty full on! We've gotten to go to so many places I never thought we'd get to see and meet some amazing people. Touring the American festivals was great but Download in England is always a highlight! But I think this headline tour we're on now is special to us because it's the first one we've done in a while and it feels like a party to celebrate all the work that's been put in over the last year or 2.

For six weeks straight, i worked at the Station Sessions Festival. Operating the Live Stream direct to YouTube. Doing the social media promotion on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Website and by writing the weekly Station Sessions Newsletter.
