This first one is Brain Wave with art by Bene Rohlmann
Brain Wave is a Sci-Fi novel by Poul Anderson published as a novel in 1954. If you're curious about the plot of this story, it tells of the achievements and struggles of various people and animals on Earth after it moves out of the energy-dampening field which caused the "Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event", which wiped out all neuron-based life on the planet. The original cover art was created by Richard Powers.
