It‘s strange how much we need the sun. The first sunny days in spring make me feel like a drug addict who reaches a new state of euphoria...

for when you get back online you should answer: numbers 3, 6, 28, 30 :D
#3 - A song that reminds you of summertime
You have awesome timing, because summer has arrived blastin’ into the city. Yesterday we reached 32ºC - that’s 90ºF for the Americans! I’m basically sitting here basking in the heat like a happy crocodile
For some reason, summer is lazy 60s songs. So because I am super obvious and not at all subtle, The Lovin’ Spoonful’s Summer In The City, because if you’re ever been in Seville, you know it’s like this:
Hot town, summer in the cityBack of my neck getting dirty and grittyBeen down, isn’t it a pityDoesn’t seem to be a shadow in the cityAll around, people looking half deadWalking on the sidewalk, hotter than a match headBut at night it’s a different worldGo out and find a girlCome-on come-on and dance all nightDespite the heat it’ll be alright
Also, The Kinks’ Sunny Afternoon.
#6 - A song that makes you want to dance
The Beatle’s Twist and Shout, because, come on. It’s The Beatle’s Twist and Shout. If that song doesn’t make you want to dance, you’re dead. Rock ‘n Roll in general makes me want to dance.
# 28 - A song by an artist with a voice that you love
My favorite female voice ever is Regina Spektor’s, and one of the songs that really captures her full range and the haunting, melodic tones she’s capable of is Just like the Movies. At some point I’ll make a rec list just with Regina Spektor’s songs because she’s fucking incredible and I know many people don’t know some of her most awesome old songs and B-sides.
As for male voices, I’m going to be an ass and go with a duet: Fall Out Boy’s 20 Dollar Nose Bleed. Patrick Stump and Brendon Urie’s voices, singing styles and ranges are very similar, and Patrick Stump mixes them masterfully in this song. Watch out for the chorus, were their voices blend so seamlessly that unless you really, really know each singer, you won’t be able to tell they’re a duet at all.
I don’t know any non-binary singers, so if anyone drops me an ask with some recs to genderqueer musicians that’ll be cool.
#30 - A song that reminds you of yourself
Rilo Kiley’s A Better Son or Daughter. And there’s no way to explain this one without acting like a teenager, so just give it a listen.

I do feel a little groggy though, like more so than usual, so that might be the medication. but there are definitely worse things than feeling a little groggy :'D
oh yeah I was gonna update you on what horrific side effects I experienced from taking my sleeping pills for the first time
the answer is none. nothing happened. what an anticlimax.

you had me at 'come live with me' ♥ MATCHING MARVEL LEGGINGS OMG I NEEEEED primark doesn't have an online shop so I checked ebay and wow those leggings are bordering on visually offensive I LOVE THEM
staubwirbel said: i was going to chime in with the announcement that i was wearing a captain america shirt from primark then i remembered it’s a men’s shirt so never mind
I chime in with a haven't you people ever heard of
actually marketing to women and girls because by not doing so you're alienating a section of your market audience and thereby losing profit even when they have to resort to buying men's clothes (they shouldn't have to resort to buying men's clothes)
it's much better to face these kinds of things with a sense of poise and rATIONALITY
staubwirbel said: im super 10000% proud of you you know that??? so proud
thank u man <3 I'm just so cross with this whole thing because in the past when I've needed an extension it's because I've procrastinated a little too hard but I haven't been procrastinating at all this year. in fact I've been working non stop since october and even my lecturer said when she emailed me back that it's ridiculous that everything's piled on in quick succession this year without any room to breathe. I did my dissertation and then straight after that I did a 5000 word essay and then straight after that it was this essay plus all the early years teacher status documents we're supposed to be filling in and I'm just????
even after I've done this essay I've then got to go on a placement and do a whole load of crap for my early years teacher portfolio and then I've got my assessment and ughghghghghhhh, I literally do not stop until there is no more university left to do. my break is when I graduate. from last october until july there will have been 0 breaks. some people can cope with that and hey good for them but I am not one of those people. something's gotta give. and unfortunately it's been my mental health and general wellbeing.
but at least this has all made it very clear to me whether I should ever go back into higher education.
