Kasumi's loyalty mission confuses me a little. Why go to the trouble of giving Shepard a cover identity, outfit and backstory... when Kasumi is just going to try and walk into the party? In full view? Oh that's not suspicious at all! Couldn't Kasumi enter invisibly while Shep works the party? Why was that Plan B and not Plan A?

There’s nothing like a heist to spend some time bonding with your cousin. That is, if your cousin is Kasumi Goto and she has a score to settle with a crime lord.

Kaen Shepard didn’t hesitate to help his cousin get Keiji’s greybox back, but he did have to question Kasumi’s sense of humor. Between the monkeysuit and the gold statue of Saren, Kaen was left feeling like he was the butt end of the joke.

None of that stopped him from completing the mission, though. He got a new gun out of it, got to blow up a wall with a tank, and couldn’t hide a grin of pride as Kasumi shorted out the shields of Hock’s ship. In the end, he couldn’t dare separate Kasumi from Keiji’s greybox. He knew that of any memories she would have, his would be the most precious.
