3265 “Hunter” before the Great Race

The loco shunts to the platform from the yard, prior to passenger loading for the 20198 Great Train Race.

The train was initially directed to the incorrect platform, requiring a reversal and 2nd attempt.

Steamfest (in Rome) kindly offerend to us an expositive space and gave us the opportunity to dust off one of our favorite themes: wanting to give it a newappeal, we thought of setting Steam in the Great Exhibition in Paris in 1800. It was amazing to be in a convention outside the dolly-world and see as people welcomed us and our dolls, it was unexpected and very pleasant! The Great Steam Train Race

Hunter Valley Steamfest 2019

Steam locomotives 3265 "Hunter" and 3526 were the stars this year, with the  race taking place between near Waratah (Newcastle) and High Street station, Maitland. Loco 3265's train was the winner this year, but with a name like Hunter - maybe to be expected!
