There's a decent-sized public market in Testaccio, the kind that is full of stalls with a different little shop in each; I've been buying some of my food from a local grocery store but bought some very good pasta and fruit and cheese from the market. (I decided not to try the horse meat.) And there was a really nice stall selling Italian-made olive wood kitchen implements, so I did some holiday shopping.

The gravestones of John Keats, his friend Joseph Severn and Percy Bysshe Shelley, in the Non-Catholic Cemetery (in Testaccio, Rome, Italy)

Keats went to Italy (with Severn) for his health in 1820, but died a year later of tuberculosis at the age of 25. Shelley drowned in the Gulf of La Spezia in 1822, which was nicknamed the Gulf of Poets thereafter.
