She's so beautiful in the sun! ❤️ I had the honor of being her drivers apprentice today. I also had two fireman-apprentices today. One of which has never fired an engine before, so he made his debut today. We did get up the hill, so he wasn't too bad. 🙂 Still has a lot to learn, but it was a good start! I'm proud of him!

He sat beside Steam as he took a notebook from his jacket pocket. It was of his countless strategy notebooks, filled with different battle tactics and ideas to prepare for any situation. 

“I saw you out here while I was trying to figure out this one escape tactic. Thought maybe a break might clear my head. What’s that your working on?” His tail swished with the wind as it leaned off of the edge of the dock.

With the way the stranger took off as Hiru and the mob of Marines approached, it was pretty clear at that point that they were certainly not affiliated with the “right” side of the law. Knowing that now, Hiru picked up speed to try and catch up to said stranger to apologize for dragging them into his mess. However, right when he was about to be in ear shot, he barely caught sight of the woman swiftly turn down the alleyway.

That was an excellent idea! So he followed suit, adding a bit more pep in his step to not only try and keep up with her, but also so that the Marines wouldn’t see. “Hey!” Hiru called out as he began to close the distance. “That was a great idea to duck into the alleyway! Thanks to that I think we might have lost them.” He chuckled with a wide grin.
