Same drawing, two years apart.
After all this time, Micheal still hasn't learned to keep his hands of Ronni's fries. Luca grew up with Ronni and the two are basically siblings. He learned her love for potatoes many years ago. Luca makes no such mistakes.

TRANSCRIPT: Downstairs, while the children and their mother play, there's a knock at the door. Their living room looks refurnished since the last time we've seen it; the walls are painted blue with white borders, there's a small dresser stationed at the front that houses an open can of pink paint, brushes, papers, and other art supplies. A broken, lopsided statue of Glenn stands on the opposite end next to the door; a ruined project of Astrid's that now served as a coat hanger. Above, the old, broken ceiling lamp has been replaced by a black chandelier, designed to look like small dragons breathing fire in a circle. ASTRID: [opening the door] Oh! Hey Russo! RUSSELL: Err...it's Russell. Anyway, is Glenn awake yet? I was sent to deliver a letter on behalf of the council. I can't read it, obviously. It's written in those strange...mumbo jumbo hieroglyphics they always use— [his eye grows huge as he spots the interior of the house. Astrid continues to stand obliviously at the doorway, while behind her, the entire living room is ablaze.] ASTRID: Oh, I was just playing with the kids! I tend to get a little too 'in character' at times. RUSSELL: ...'In character'? ASTRID: [turning her bonnet upside down to resemble a pirate's handkerchief] Oh yes! Today I got to ravage the seven seas as the fierce, bloodthirsty plunderer—Ingar the Unsightly!! [she pauses, turning away to recollect the character's name in a moment of confusion] Or was it...Ingar the Insufferable... [she turns back to Russell with a smile] I like snowmobiles. RUSSELL: Astrid, please! Let's stay on track here! Can I speak to Glenn? [Meanwhile, Glenn has his head against the door in the bedroom, listening intently to their conversation. Y'know, despite the fact that there's a gaping hole in the wall he could just listen through, but naw your girl only remembered that AFTER everything was already drawn so we're not gonna talk about that ok] ASTRID: Oh, yes yes! He was upstairs in the bedroom last I checked. He's a busy bee, you know! RUSSELL: I'm aware, but the council seems to be getting a little...impatient with his lack of progress updates. Especially Meredith. I may not know the contents of this letter, but from what I was able to gather from her...dramatic entrance this morning, she's not...entirely pleased. GLENN: [to himself, putting his hands on his head with fear] Shit. [he quickly darts away from the door, frantically pacing around] SHIT. SHIT. SHIT. Characters/Artwork © Anisopterror
Tocktick Character Commissions - Emmett Askren!
Firstly, this drawing was done by the immensely talented @scarvenartist and I think it looks absolutely beautiful.
So, Emmett Askren!
Emmett Askren, autistic captain of The Iris, single adoptive father, talented aeronaut, meteorologist, and swordsman is the protagonist and main POV character of Tocktick.
Emmett is struggling with his anxiety and his autism in late September of 1880, a state only exacerbated by the grounding of his airship after a massive dock fire and his accumulating debts, when he is approached by the Katsaros with an offer to wipe away his outstanding payments. Seeing no way out of his situation, Emmett accepts the agreement and installs their invention of a non-arcane engine in his ship and enters a prestigious airship race, the Throgmorton Aeronautical Contest.
But as soon as he does, he and his crew are plunged into a web of ambitious aeronauts, murderous company-owners, and strange figures out to prevent them from reaching the final leg of the race. Even worse, a figure from Emmett’s past is chasing him with revenge in his heart and powerful allies at his side...

Making a solid attempt at Inktober! I know I won't get to do each prompt because of my busy schedule, but the ones I do pick out I'll do well! #1 - Caught
Prompt No.1 / Contest 001
JunkTown Official Prompt No.1 – Welcome to JunkTown
Prompt Elements
- At least one (1) JunkTown ID Card of your choice
-Image and/or written narrative corresponding to prompt
Welcome to our little corner of the universe - it may not be the prettiest place on the planet, but it’s a place to call home. I haven’t seen you around here before, and I believe introductions are in order. Why don’t you tell me a bit about yourself? At the very least, give me a day in the life (of your OC). I want to get to know you better.
First, GRAB YOUR ID, then tell me a bit about yourself.

2017 Official Contest – Introductions
Welcome-to-JunkTown’s mission is to give you a place to expand your OC generation abilities. There is a lot of fanart and TV-Canon characters in the world, not everyone gets a place where they can feel comfortable making something original. This group is for you. I have created the world and will continue to fill it with life as it grows and expands with new OC residents. I will ask questions and create prompts to help you along the way, but it is time to make an OC and set out on your very first Junkverse journey.
This contest involves our first prompt: create your own original character(s) and then show off a day in their life. They can be doing anything that will give us an idea of who they are as a character. Show off their personality in the best way you can. Will they use their spare time to build something? Do they have hobbies? Do they like to cook? Eat? Do they have friends? Who are they?
Because prompt 1 is very simple and straightforward, and I still have a lot of work to do growing the universe as I find out more about our new residents, their origins, their locales, et cetera – this will be an illustration based contest. There will no doubt be writing contests in the future where I will ask for responses to specific perils of Junkverse life, but for ease of initial jurying and to generate artwork to brighten up the blog, I want to SEE a vignette of your OC’s life this time around.
No Mary Sue Characters – in other words, I want to see you put time, thought, and energy into your OC generation, not just regurgitate tropes and basic character builds. The contest will be judged on who creates what I and a group of Jurors find to be the most intriguing and original character that also fits JunkTown canon.
TLDR: To enter this contest, you must first create an original and creative JunkSona, using the ID card bases provided HERE – fill it out completely with thorough character information, this will be part of how your entry will be judged. You will supplement your ID with a visual representation of your character’s personality. Not just a reference image, as in the ID, but something that shows off their personality, interests, etc. These two things together will constitute your entry.
Contest Deadline: December 18th 2017 – You must either submit your entry to the blog or post it on your blog and tag us by this date for your entry to be considered.
2017 CONTEST PRIZES
Grand Prize - The grand prize winner of this year’s contest will receive a commission from @kelly-scribes (up to a full-color bust illustration with a complex background or tiny character >>> a $50 value)
Runner Up – One lucky runner up will receive a personalized sketch commission from @the-little-shoebox
*Please note that the prompt itself has no deadline. You are welcome to join the universe and build an OC to live here any time. The deadline is for contest entry only.
