hadn’t it been for the way he looked at all the SIGNS with his hand clenched hard around the phone that no doubt would show a map if she was that close she would likely have missed the confused stranger , but there she was , a warm cup of coffee in hand . it had been almost a month since she last spoke english but he may as well be someone from a different part of SWEDEN , so she walked up to him , ‘ hej du , har du varit borta ? ‘

not that approaching a camp had ever been easy , but this time she brought gifts , having learnt from her earlier mistakes while trying the same in a hostile area . with a bag FULL of loot from a grocery store a city over she felt confident -- who didn’t like peaches in their sugary liquid , just waiting to be eaten . the tuna she had eaten on the road . she was confident , even when someone at the gates yelled for her to stop and put down her arms , bow lowered to the ground and her hands raised . 

‘ so , any of you like PEACHES? see this bag , ‘ she said , turning her side a little , ‘ it’s full of canned ones , bet you haven’t had a treat like that for months . ‘ she had , one full can when she found her stash . ‘ i’ll even tell you where to find more if i can talk to someone in charge . ‘

💋💎┇ ❛❛ so ... i’m safe here right ? if my parents come here you won’t let them in ? i’m not ... i’m not asking you to kill them or anything extreme but please just don’t ... let them in ? ❜❜ she says softly, carefully as if she’s nervous to ask him. rhiannon of course has not gone into detail about anything they’ve ever done to her, he’s not her therapist && she knows shit like that makes people extremely uncomfortable. but the tremor in her tone, the way she looks down at her hands, unable to make EYE CONTACT ---- should be at least mild indicators that these people have in some way hurt her in the past.
