"Barr? The law woman who turned pirate? They say a lot of shit about her. Say she killed her sister during the Warning Shot. Signed up to SLEDGE afterwards, enforced the law, real hard-ass about it. They say she finally snapped and went pirate during the Reckoning, now she steals from everyone- League, Order, independent merchants, other pirates, even underfolk. What would I know what she's thinkin', though? Ain't no one worked with her, at least not that they'll admit, with a list a' enemies that long. Just be careful if you're chasin' her. They call Barr 'Raspberry' 'cause she likes purple, but also 'cause she's got hidden weapons from head to toe. The Stellar Armament she carries is just the start of it. Wouldn't cross her any time soon."

Stella “Raspberry” Barr

Stella Barr was one of the very few survivors at the epicenter of the Warning Shot, a cataclysmic blow from the Gods Stella, at the age of 17, became the only surviving member of her family. The exact events of the night are not known and never could be fully explained, but Stella particularly blamed herself for the death of her sister, Astra.

In the chaotic aftermath of the Warning Shot, society’s efforts went entirely to repairing ruined cities choked with dead. Law enforcement in the now neglected and lawless outback was left to a special program called the Special Law Enforcement Dispensation Grant, or SLEDGE. SLEDGE sought tough individuals who could ride afar and catch criminals beyond the reach of city law.

Six years after the Warning Shot, Stella’s fate was sealed when one such band of bandits rolled into town. One of them was a Gunslinger, holding a Stellar Armament, a powerful revolver granting the protection of the Gods themselves. When the dust cleared, Stella ended up the one holding that gun. She found her calling in SLEDGE. By all accounts, she was a model officer, taking the hard and right way when possible. Which makes it rather jarring that she turned to piracy when the world ended. The Warning Shot gave way to the End War and the Reckoning. Among the shattered airship-borne remains of humanity, Stella rose to prominence preying on merchants, militaries, and other pirates alike. Rumor has it what she seeks is not wealth, justice, or fame, but some sign that her sister Astra still lives, and could be brought back to her only family.  

Stella’s weapon is Forearmed, a Stellar Armament representing the Wisdom aspect of the Unseen Star. Her nickname, Raspberry, is from her preference for red-purple clothing and for concealed weaponry.
