In another life (ghost!Peeta fic) Edits and Snippet

“Mommy, wakey wakey. Mommyyyy!”

Peeta woke up to the sound of girlish whining and saw the twins staring at him with wide eyes.

“Why you sleep in Mommy’s bed? Mommy says grown-ups get their own,” Ash asked, and Peeta chuckled.

“Well, Asher, I am not as grown up as you two; I am still a baby in a biiiig size,” he said, tickling Leah’s toddler belly, making her giggle.

“Mommy only calls us Asher and Azalea when she’s mad at us. Are you upset with us now?” Ash asked, lip wobbling, and Peeta saw Leah’s smiling face change into something much darker.

She pushed at his chest, yelling, “You upset my bwothah. That's a meanie thing!”

“Azalea Mellark, stop pushing Peeta right this instant!” Katniss’s groggy voice rang out loud and clear and this time, Leah’s eyes filled with tears.

“But he made Ash sad; I don't wike Ash being sad,” she reasoned, and Katniss sighed.

“Mommy, I am hungwy, want to go eat brekkie in the shop,” Ash mumbled while trying to gobble his fist.

“Say sorry to Peeta, right now, and we’ll go out for breakfast,” Katniss ordered, and both kids turned to their father.

“We’re sorry, Peeta. We won’t be mean again.” Then came the pouty faces and wide eyes, and Peeta was immediately won over.

“C’mon, Katniss, let's get these two ready, so we can go out and have some…”

He trailed off, and the twins yelled, “Waffles!”

Rolling her eyes good-naturedly, Katniss climbed out of bed, but not before giving him a deep kiss while the kids looked away with disgusted faces.

“You didn't brush your teeth, Mommy, and Peeta didn't either. Ew!”

This was one of my most favourite parts from this fic so I decided to share it with you guys
