Steve Rogers + "grabbing the other’s hand in big crowds".
Thank you. 🩷
I love this, Stella! Hope you like it.
True North
Pairing: Steve Rogers x Female Reader
Word Count: Over 400
Warnings: Established relationship, slight anxiety and insecurities, fluff
Steve hadn’t expected the sidewalk to get crowded so quickly for the parade, but he should’ve anticipated it. That was one of the reasons why you insisted on getting there early. You picked out a good spot and he brought enough chairs for the gang to camp out. But instead of hanging out, he insisted on getting you a necklace from one of the vendors a block away and now he had to find his way back to you.
He tried to smile when a few heads turned his way. He still wasn’t used to standing out in the crowd. Being small and invisible for the longest time, he was able to blend in easily. No one cared enough to look for him, save Bucky. With his new body, it wasn’t so easy for him to hide now. And having spent most of his life being the smallest person in the room, he still felt like a stranger in his own skin.
Craning his head, his heart raced when he realized he wasn’t even halfway down the block. He could’ve pushed people out of the way, but he couldn’t be rude. Swallowing, he tried not to feel overwhelmed at the feel of bodies pressing against him, their conversations too loud in his ears. A few whispered his name. Some snapped his photo, like they had the right.
He wished he would’ve asked you to go with him. It was silly. You didn’t need to look out for him. You didn’t-
“Steve.”
He blinked when you grabbed his hand. He had your touch memorized, the way your hand fit perfectly in his. “Hey,” he whispered, the sound of the crowd fading away.
“Thought you got lost there for a second,” you said lightly, but your eyes conveyed that you sensed how much he needed you.
“Almost did,” he said, letting you lead him through the crowd, refusing to let you go. “But it was worth it to find you the perfect necklace.”
“Oh, yeah?” you smiled over your shoulder. “You know, you really didn’t have to get me anything.”
“I know, but I wanted to,” he smiled gently. “Thank you for finding me,” he said, his voice thick because he wasn’t just talking about today. And you knew that.
“You found me first, Steve,” you said, squeezing his hand. “I’m just returning the favor.”
Later when he put the compass necklace around your neck, he’d explain that you were his true north. And if the two of you were ever separated for any reason, even in a crowd, he’d find his way back to you. Always.
Love and thanks for participating in Ficlet Friday! ❤️
Your thighs shake, clamping around Steve's thigh every other heartbeat. But he doesn't let you rub against it. A heavy hand pins your hips down.
The other holds your wrists bound over your head.
Steve's face is buried in your chest. His mouth feasting on your breasts like it's the only zone worthy of his attention.
He's sucked your nipples to points so stiff it almost hurt. Each time he closed his lips around a hardened peak your clit screamed in despair.
He trails open-mouthed, wet kisses over the swell of your breasts. Sucks on soft skin, hard enough to leave hickeys. Then there's the scrape of his teeth. Not painful, but a graze that pours oil on the already blazing sensation.
You're so wet not only the fabric of your underwear sticks to your folds, but you're quite sure there's a stain seeping into the denim of Steve's jeans.
"Please!" You beg once again - one of dozen pleas you muttered since he pinned you down.
Steve's blue eyes flick up to you as he closes his mouth around one of your throbbing nipples. He sucks hard. Your cunt floods.
He releases with a wet pop, then licks his lips before saying:
"You either come from this, or you don't get to come at all tonight."
Ohhhhh Stella, let's really get into our feels now.
Andy watched you carefully as you moved through the room, effortlessly mingling with all of his coworkers. He could see it so clearly, the way you would fit into his life if he would only let you. But he knew better now, he had to. How many times could he think he had the real thing, only to watch it disintegrate into nothing?
You turned, catching his eye, and he knew that the smile you flashed him would ruin him if he let it.
You saw Lord Barnes at in front of the clergyman, looking, if you may say so, quite dashing. His hair was full, and the dark color complimented his blue eyes. Had you seen him in passing, you would have found him handsome and perhaps even giggled with the other ladies who agreed with you. Now he was looking sternly ahead of himself, reminding you this was duty that called. Not romance.

“You’re not going anywhere!” He hissed back. His face was so near yours again, you could see the freckles on his nose. His hands holding a firm grip on your upper arms.

He blinks. Chosen. Him? He wants to kill her for mocking him. But she leans down, her face close to his. “Boneless,” she whispers, like it's special, and presses something into his hand. It's a bracelet with some green stones decorating the skillfully braided strings. A gift. An expensive one for as far as his knowledge goes.
Ivar the Boneless, for Mermay if I can finish it😭
You hesitated, you knew what you wanted to say, still it was rather forward. It was the only thing that could improve your married life however, so onward you went. “I am in need to marry, society wishes it of me, and I'm not altogether opposed, however, I enjoy the freedom I have had and am not eager to give it up to the needs of a man who will not appreciate my whole being. You are in need of a wife. It could be a good arrangement. I will be a good wife, if…you let me have my own space and freedom to do as I wish. In return we will live amicably, I will not shame you in public, I will support you in any way, as long as you will do so to me.”

“Oh it is, Mrs. Bodecker. It’s when they stop communicating and get feral, that’s when we start worrying.”
Dreams can come true, Lee Bodecker 😍
But she was still going to leave. Maybe what he wanted wasn't in the stars anyway. For all he knew she did not look at him the same. What had he to offer her? An old house in need of reparations and improvements. A bit of land and no money. Just him, secluded from anyone else. Someone like her probably liked fancy things, comfort, a nice husband who never smelled of cattle and who shaved everyday.

Thank you so much. 6 roses, 6 glimpses☺️ but I have now way too many wips😭😭
Would you like to share the story of your username because I'm very curious?
Stella! Hi! Since I’m sort of snowed in and taking at least the morning off work, I’ll happily answer this!
My username is literally a random selection put together by tumblr. I wish I could say I creatively came up with it, but that’s sadly not the case. I remember being super relieved by it tho bc I love trees!!
Plus, my initials are in it!! And it might be a stretch but Essie can kind of be derived from it too?
I had the plan to change it soon after I started getting involved in fandom on here, but I kinda got paralyzed in making a decision! I was so caught up in if I should do something marvel or CE or Bucky-related that I just kinda froze and kept it. Plus, once I started actually posting, I thought it would be too much of a URL struggle to redo links to my Masterlist and such, and so my username remains!
Thank you for asking. Your username is so cool! I’m curious about it if you’re willing to share!
Hello Navy! What stories or ideas of yours are currently living rent-free in your brilliant brain?
Hey, Stella! I feel like I have so many ideas bouncing around in my mind!
@targaryenvampireslayer is aware that I have a mob one-shot (or more) in mind. After helping your friend escape the city to get away from Brock Rumlow, he eventually tracks you both down with his men. Brock wants you punished since you were the one who convinced his girl to leave him. Bucky offers to punish you first.
I can't reveal too much more, but I'm excited for it.
"I don't think this is the right ceremony," you said, unsure, glancing around as the tribe chanted.
"Yeah," Steve croaked, holding your hand and casting worried glances at the arch of curved swords raised in front of you by the warriors. "Louis, are you sure you translated our intentions well?"
He glanced at your friend, who was walking behind you along with the chief of the desert tribe.
When you approached the forbidden lands of the sand tribe, with the intention of exploring the ancient temple in the heart of their territory, Louis was the one responsible for carrying the negotiations, since he spoke their language. A bit broken, but still better than either you or Steve.
You tried to be patient and relaxed, despite waiting for the outcome with the points of swords directed at you. Steve's tension suggested that he'd be ready to fight skilled swordsmen with his bare hands, but thankfully it didn't come to that.
Louis was very proud of himself when he announced that the elders of the tribe agreed to allow you the sacred right of a day and night at the temple.
Not more, definitely not enough time for a full archeological exploration, but it was a success nonetheless.
According to Louis, there needed to be a ceremony first, before anyone was worthy of stepping into the temple. Both you and Steve agreed, always respectful of foreign customs.
It was even quite fun and exciting when the women of the tribe dressed you in colorful veils and belts of tinkling coins. Steve had been dressed up to.
Then the chief of the tribe linked your hands, tied them with golden ropes while reciting words. Louis stuttered a few times and chose to translate a shortcut version, but it was mostly about blessings for those who entered the temple, for the gods to grace them with light, and so on.
"I'm sure." Louis replied. "I told them you're archeologists wanting to explore the temple, with respect of course. That you'd be entering alone, they didn't need to fear an army of Americans creating chaos in their lands. I vouched for your pure intentions and good hearts."
"Why are our hands tied together?" You asked, keeping your fingers intertwined with Steve's, since the roping didn't allow you to let your hand drop away.
"Oh, that's their usual marriage custom." Louis waved his hand.
"Marriage?!" Both you and Steve yelled.
"Well, yeah," Louis didn't seem to see a problem. "Their tradition allows only newlyweds to enter the temple and spend a day and night inside of it. Since that was your goal..."
"Oh my God." You felt a rush of heat drowning you.
You were more ready to face the swords being directed at you, or being stranded in the middle of the desert, than being unexpectedly married to your coworker.
