So I decided to give an idea what the Honey Bee Candy Shoppe Interior looks like and came up with this super cute set up X3 I decided to have it be a scary stormy day so that Hydrangea can tell a creepy story! Downside is, I don't think Lilac or Lavender are frighten by the story, more like they're worried about whats coming in through the door.
Mutant and its story belongs to @straviios Zuraki are an alien species created by @spacegate Myches are an alien species created by @not-fun Lilac, Lavender, Hydrangea, and the Honey Bee Candy Shoppe Belongs to me :3
And now, perhaps the most popular species of this universe, the cuddly Zuraki! Zuraki are a quadrupedal mammal race from a planet called Zura. Zura is a very large frozen planet, with one continent in a frozen sea. The planet has three moons. For most of the year, the planet is dry and bitterly cold broken up by a brief yearly thaw. It takes 513 days for the planet to orbit the sun, Gelid. Zura was once a tropical, warm world, until a asteroid strike knocked the planet out of its previous alignment. All species within had to adopt quickly or perish. Zuraki share the planet with another sapient species, the Zuranians, and have a close relationship with them. Zuraki are a curious and gentle creatures who come in a wild range of colors. Zuraki flesh is highly toxic and have no natural predators, so they can afford such color in their environment of white and blue. There are no visible differences between males and females. Sometimes Zuraki can have beard like shaggy fur, but either sex can have them. They have big jagged edged beaks (covered in fur) that are strong enough to bite through solid ice. They use this to crunch up hard nuts and frozen fruits/tubers which is their main diet. During thaws they enjoy sweet grasses, berries, and flowers. They are true herbivores and can get ill easy. They love sugar, so they must also watch how much they eat, as they can develop health issues from it. Zuraki are about the size of Earth dogs, but can be very heavy and dense due to their muscle mass. They are strong enough to tunnel into frozen earth and their bite force is strong enough to crush bones, should they want to. They would rather not but will defend themselves as needed. Do not get bit by a Zuraki. You will lose a limb. Zuraki live in large family groups called 'Clans'. These are all individuals who are related in some way. Some kits choose to stay and some choose to leave and find another Clan to join. There is no form of government or any of the sort, they tend to follow the elderly and ones proven to be wise. Sometimes a pair will go off to start their own clans, though it is much easier to raise kits in a group. They primarily live underground in an elaborate network of tunnels and dens, illuminated by glowing stones they find while digging. These dens are surprisingly warm and is lined with dry grasses and shed fluff. Zuraki pair off and mate for life. If a partner dies they don't seek another, though they will help others raise their kits. Zuraki are fully grown at age 4 and live shorter lives compared to most other sapient species. At most they will get into their 40's if lucky. Old Zuraki turn grey as they age, and their colors become dull. Zuraki do not wear clothing unless it's part of a job. All of them wear some sort of neckwear once they are large enough to undergo implantation of a translation chip. Don't worry, the chip is smaller than a grain of rice, and only needs a shot to 'implant' it. This neckwear will contain a speaker that will allow them to communicate. Before this chip was tested out, Zuraki were assumed to be animals and were often kept as pets. Once the language barrier was broken, they have become valuable members of society. Zuraki make expert therapists due to their empathy and many can be found in the social work field. You can find a Zuraki doing any type of job that isn't limited to them due to their size. Zuraki did not achieve space travel, nore did they have anything remotely resembling technology. They have no written language, but have incredibly memories. Their history is kept in the form of songs and stories, passing down from one generation to the next. This is why many Zuraki can be found writing scripts and books. Every Zuraki loves a good story. Zuraki do not do well on hot worlds, and often need to have their dense fluff shaved off to keep from over heating. Their main contributions to the Galaxy are -Social workers -Writers -Boundless joy -Cuddle Buddies -Construction workers (They can hollow out ground faster than what most machines can do) Also yes, you can make characters out of any Stellarmass species. Just show me if you do cause I love to see them!
Now for SPACE COWBOYS. These are the second species I ever created and it was over 15 years ago wowie. Springers are a bipedal mammal from a planet called Seco. Seco is one terrestrial planet broken up by small seas and lakes, so it can be considered all one continent. Surface water is rare on Seco, making this planet stand out from most others. The planet is mostly dry, hot, and dusty, which gets colder towards each pole. Nights can be freezing and rain is very, very rare. Seco has one moon, and it takes the planet 240 days for it to orbit it's sun, Maez. Springers can be described as jumpy, paranoid, and hyper alert. They need to be, as they are a prey species on their planet of large (and sometimes viciously tiny) and crafty predators. They are a gritty and determined people, and have managed to gain a foothold on the planet by sheer spite alone. Predation has become much rarer in this era of towns and walls, but places out in the frontier and travelers are still at risk. Despite this, Springers hold no hate for these creatures, as they believe that they all play some part in the life of the planet. Seco currently has a poaching problem, as off worlders like to come in to capture or kill the dangerous wildlife, which is upsetting the delicate balance the world relies on. Springers are a medium sized species, only a little taller than most humans. They are densely muscled, mostly in their legs. This allows them to run and jump at high speeds, as well as deliver a kick strong enough to kill someone. Their tails are mostly used for balance with tight turns, but can wallop you hard enough to break a bone. They are very much adapted to their harsh world, with noses and ears that can seal up in dust storms and a fat storage system in their tails. They have excellent hearing and eyesight. Springers come in varied earth tones and markings. Spots are the most common form of coat marking. Babies are born spotted and sandy colored, but grow into their mature coats as they age. There are visible difference between males and females. Females have visible mammaries on their chests to feed young. They are also slightly more thick at the hips. Males are more muscle in their torsos. Other than that, both are very similar, especially while wearing clothes. Springer females give birth to two children at a time. Children are fully grown at 15 and may live another 15 if lucky. Off world Springers can live well into their 60's due to lack of predators. All Springers wear clothes to protect them from the harsh sands and dusts of the world. Hats to shield them from the sun is fairly common, along with vests and coats made from leather. Bright fancy clothes are rare, as they attract predators. Springers are omnivores and prefer meats and grains. They will however, eat just about anything including insects and tubers. Grains are the most common type of plant on their world, so thus they are well known for their whiskeys and their breads. Springers don't really sit down for meals, and tend to eat on the go. They are not very fond of sweets and prefer savory food. They love to use spices in their cooking and actively trade for them. Springers live in walled villages and cities. There are only a few cities on the planet due to the limitations of resources. Most people live in scattered forts and villages. These armored places are enough to discourage most predators from coming around, as they become confused by the amount of lights and people. Most predators strike in remote areas, such as ranches. The people have means to protect themselves now, but it's always a risk. Technology is low, having reached some milestones such as radios, telegrams, and trains. They have not achieved space travel pre-discovery, though they were picking up and sending radio waves into deep space. One things Springers are good at, is making guns, and all citizens are armed at all times for protection. When defending themselves from each other, they won't waste a bullet (which takes resources to make) and just box or kick at each other. Springers are very resource cautious, as everything on their world relies on a balance or is very scarce. Water is by far the most precious resource, though mining is the most dangerous. They readily accept trade, mostly looking for medicines and some home security/comforts. Springers are common in the galaxy, as many like to spend a few years off world to see what it's like, or to learn. Most stay on Seco. Despite the danger it's their home, and it's more comfortable to deal with problems you already know about than to deal with those unknown. Their main contributions to the Galaxy are -Alcohol -Grains -Professional fighters -Leather and fabrics -Mineral ores Also yes, you can make characters out of any Stellarmass species. Just show me if you do cause I love to see them!

We need more arthropods up in here! Anansi are arthropods from the planet Makro. Makro is a very large terrestrial planet with eleven moons and multiple continents. It takes 500 days for them to orbit the sun, Imago. The continents vary wildly with sprawling jungles surrounding arid grasslands. There are four major continents peppered with small islands, separated by a freshwater sea. Anansi share the planet with another sapient species, the Atagi. They are friendly towards each other and enjoy a thriving trade culture. Anansi are a patient and creative people. They tend to take their time in most matters, carefully thinking things out before they decide to take a risk. They are rather fuzzy and come in a wide range of colors, though there are sub variants which include adaptations to the dry grassland. Grassland Anansi tend to be shades of brown and yellow, while jungle variants have bright colorful patterns. They closely resemble Earth Tarantulas, but lack true aggression. Males are tiny compared to the females and rarely grow higher than her knees. They may be small but they serve just as an important role in society that females do. It is speculated that before the days of society, the male needed to be small in order to escape a female he may have pestered too much. Besides size, there are no visible difference between male and females. Anansi mate every few years, which results in an egg sack made of silk to protect the precious eggs inside. This egg sack is placed in a hidden place in their dwelling, and is closely guarded. During this time, the mother will not hunt nore leave her eggs. The other community members work together to keep nesting mother's fed and healthy, bringing them food and water. Not all members in the community mate at the same time, so there are always individuals that are able to hunt and support their fellow people. Eggs hatch an a few months, and the transparent pale young eat their way out of the nutritious egg sack and officially join the world. They are aware and fully able to run and crawl, but are too small to survive long by themselves. So, the young (called lings) pile on top of their mother and ride around on her, being protected and fed. After they learn how to communicate and are a good size, they leave their mother and are pretty much able to care for themselves. They are then given to the community, where they are instructed and taught the ways of the village and their roles within. Anansi are considered adults once they reach around five years old. They grow and molt rapidly and are quite ready to work and contribute at this age. Anansi live in villages that start on the ground level and go up into the trees. They build structures out of natural materials, such as stone, wood, mud, and fibers. Every Anansi has their own dwelling where they rest and store personal items, and dwellings are just added on top of each other as the village grows. It's much like a ladder, but with houses going upwards. They have very low technology and are still in their 'stone' age. They have not discovered how to smelt ores, but they can make some sophisticated tools out of wood and stone. Anansi are carnivores, and prey on non-sapient arthropods. There are no birds, reptiles, or mammals on their world. Anansi will use their webs and silk to capture prey, and then delivering a venomous bite. The venom quickly kills the prey and liquifies their insides, which the Anansi can then slurp up with a proboscis. They cannot consume plants. Once in a while they like the taste of fruit juice and nectar, but they get no nutrition out of it. Anansi are talented artisans, and are mostly known for their silk. They spin spin from spinnerets, which they then dye and weave into incredibly soft and fine fabrics. Anansi silk is highly valuable in the galaxy, not only for their beauty, but for their incredibly tensile strength. Both engineers and fashion designers have close relationships with the Anansi, who are more than happy to trade their silk. Some things they like to trade for are radios and music tapes, as well as better constructed homes. Anansi are not the best at engineering, so they appreciate the help in creating warmer, waterproof, and more comfortable dwellings. This is what they mainly trade for with the Atagi, as Atagi are natural builders and engineers. They are also fond of jewelry and books. Anansi are very rare in the galaxy, as it is difficult for them to leave their world. Makro has a high concentration of oxygen in the air, which they need since they have book lungs. Those that leave the planet must wear an environmental suit over their abdomen. Visitors also need environmental suits to provide their own atmosphere, as too much oxygen can be deadly to some species. Anansi that leave their planet do not do so lightly. Their main contributions to the Galaxy are -Silk. Either for clothing or industrial use. -Art. Includes paintings, pottery, and weaving. -VERY patient teachers -Venom, which they milk from themselves and sent off to be made into medicine.
Here we go with the second most friendly race in the #Stellarmass galaxy! They are just behind Daemons on being cheerful and happy to see a new person! Reracks are a bipedal avian race from a planet called Rerack. Rerack has one moon and two continents. Both continents are around the equator, so the world is mostly hot, humid, with seasonal storms that can be rather destructive. It takes the planet 340 days to orbit around their sun, Keewee. Reracks are intelligent and bright avians, and come in a very wide range of feather colors. Flesh tends to be either pink or grey, depending on the individual's coloration. Males come in colors that can be described as 'wild', and Reracks have five color cones in their eyes that let them see color that we can't perceive. Markings tend to be bright and bold, with long ornamental tail feathers that before, were used as a form of aerial 'ribbon' dance to impress females. Nowadays those feathers are cut short to keep them out of the way. Females are much larger and powerful, and their feathers tend to be duller natural colors. The most common are mottled and speckled browns and greys, which before allowed them to incubate their eggs while blending into the trees. They do have brighter markings on the head and tail, which was used to help guide their chicks through the underbrush. Of course, there are intersex and trans Rerack and nobody has a problem with them on the planet. Intersex Reracks will have a mishmash of colors that fit neither binary. Reracks can and do dye their feathers to present as a gender of their choosing and nobody really has a problem with it on their planet. Reracks may have sexual dimorphism in body size and color, but there are no rigid 'roles' tied to each gender. Reracks grow dull and grey with age so colors tend to fade once they hit their 50's. Reracks have an internal beak lined with sharp 'teeth'. A thin layer of skin and feathers cover their beaks and is quite tough. Rerack chicks become fully grown at around 15 years of age. They have no concept of marriage but practice monogamy. Raracks rarely wear clothes unless it's part of a job or personal fancy. Most on the planet are nude as their feathers protect them rather well and may only need something like a belt/fanny pack to hold small items. Reracks primarily eat fruit as their main diet, but they do LOVE meat. They often hunt down large rat-like primates on the canopy. They must eat a lot in order to maintain their ability to fly. They are designed to fly in short hops across trees and make quick maneuvers to avoid a crash. They are not built for long flights, but they can make them if prepared in advance. They don't have formal meals, but just eat when feeling hungry, which is often. Reracks live in the canopy in treehouse villages [Think Ewoks]. They have figured out how to hollow out trees to live in while keeping the cores alive and live quite comfortably. They rarely go to the ground unless it's part of a job such as mining. Villages have turned into huge cities completely suspended off the ground by enormous living trees. It's quite impressive! They did not achieve space travel before being discovered, but they did invent smaller devices like televisions, radios, and machinery to help them make new tree homes. Think pre-moon landing America in an average home. Once gifted with the technology to travel beyond their home, Reracks spread across the Galaxy and are one of the more common species to run into. They are used to heat so they tend to stay off planets which harsh winters and cool atmosphere. Their main contributions to the Galaxy are -Medicinal plants -Woodworking specialists -Horticulture advances -Hugs -Social workers
more worldbuilding for my Stellarmass scifi universe.
Thinking about what and how a Daemon would eat a meal.
They actually make great chefs and artfully create meals that look really amazing. No worries, they know how to prepare food that is safe for human (and other species’) consumption. This is just what an individual would typically eat in a day. Of course they can eat a LOT of food, so this isn’t counting second or third helpings.
Daemons have really tough stomachs and are immune to many things that are poisonous to others. They have a specific ecological niche they fill, which are pretty much janitors of the planet. They’ll eat just about anything and make it look pretty as they do so.
They eat a lot of rich foods, as it is vital that they build up a layer of blubber to stay warm during the cool, rainy weather.
Common things to find in Daemon meals are
- Offal: Offal is organ meat. Think stuff like liver, haggis, kidneys, ect. Daemons will waste nothing, and will eat every little scrap of meat off a carcass. They tend to like to grind up offal into pâtés or bake them into savory pastries. Larger items like hearts and kidneys they’ll grill or saute, or even pickle for snacks. They are particularly fond of eyeballs.
- Tea: Daemons discovered tea fairly early as a form of medicine. It’s still commonly used as medicine, but they also make brews just for taste/enjoyment. Tea is usually made from dried herbs, fruits, and bone meal. They sometimes will add milk, and a LOT of sugar to them.
- Alcohol: All Daemons have a ridiculously high alcohol tolerance, since they eat a lot of fermented fruit. They don’t even notice it half the time. They like things like wines, meads, and whiskeys. Most Daemon alcohol is not safe for many species to drink. Alcohol has been a staple since the dawn of their civilization. Children are given mild drinks as they can get drunk much faster being so small.
- Aged/Fermented food: Daemons evolved from scavengers, so they like them some rotten meat. They will eat meat in any stage of decomp, but they prefer it to be firm so they can cook it easier. They also love stuff like Surströmming. Rotting fruit and vegetables are also on the menu and they tend to crisp up the outsides so you can crunch in and get a nice, gooey warm center.
This also includes stuff like fat, bones, and bone marrow. They waste nothing.
- Jams/Cheeses/Preserves: Daemons are big on condiments for their food, and they love making things like jams and cheeses to spread on them. Some of their jams and preserves can be rather alcoholic. They like soft cheese, and may use a method like the kind used to make Casu marzu.
- Eggs: Not only did Daemons start out as scavengers, they also started off as egg robbers too. Eggs were a rare treat as the beings that lay them tend to be big and dangerous. Nowadays they domesticated animals where they can safely get their egg fix. They rarely cook their eggs, finding the texture strange unless its in something like a quiche.
- Sweets: Daemons need a lot of energy to stay warm and active in their chilly environment. They tend to glaze things in LOTS of sugar and often become confectionery masters. Every town has at least a 2:1 ratio of confectioneries to normal restaurants. Making and trading sweets is a time honored village tradition and presenting sweets is usually the go to for a thank you present. One main trade good they trade for is honey. They LOVE honey.
Gosh I love worldbuilding <3
