Hey everybody! I'm sorry I disappeared last year, I'm still recovering after the very disastrous move to the condo with a roommate that didn't go as well as I'd hoped (there was a lot of controlling behavior and lying from the roommate that was out of control. ) I'm still trying to get back into the swing of things after moving back last November and I have some art I'll be able to post up soon during the week. Changes, the comic I was working on with @azirtheshark , will be made as a book with some illustrations instead due to life stuff going on that makes it hard to focus on a weekly comic page. I will be finishing up the Wormsmas comic though and there will be periodic mini comics still involving the story that'll come up along with the Ancient Toys and Games segments. I am so sorry again for dropping off the radar like that, I'm going to be trying to get things back on track on my end.

I've been doing threads over on bluesky about my OCs and stuff to let people in on the out of context stuff I usually draw and found that they're real hard to keep up with so I think I'm gonna TRY to start doing the rambles over here and then linking to them. we'll see!

Maurice Fun Facts

he wants to learn French. He's actually interested in France and wants to go to Paris one day because he thinks all the old buildings are cool. He doesn't actually know a lot ABOUT France however.

The meter in which Shakespeare plays are written scratches something in his brain SO GOOD. In his mind he would love to be able to emulate it in a song but his vocabulary is a bit limited because HE WONT FUCKING READ A BOOK!!!!

Maurice is stupidly adverse to reading prose novels. He has a beef with The Nerds because they're unapologetically themselves and very open about their passions and Maurice having been forced to swallow a lot of his interests in order to make his parents happy is JEALOUS. He used to be a school bully and kids hanging around the library were a prime target. Them and the kids at the band hall. He knew not to fuck with drummers though. Anyway, he sees reading as something nerdy and he cant be caught reading because then he will be nerdy too. It's very dumb and he'll get over it one day because there are SO MANY BOOKS he would enjoy. He does read plays and insists it's different. He does really enjoy the format of CHARACTER: dialogue. He loves comics took and sees them in a similar light.

You won't catch him wearing shorts in public U N L E S S it's swim trunks but there's nowhere to swim near him so I guess you'll never see his legs unless you catch him in his jammies. He just feels weird about it okay!!

he also does not fuck with sweatpants he doesn't like the texture

olives make him sick. he's neutral on the flavor but he has to pick them off of pizza or he'll feel like hot garbage for a few hours. it's not a vampire thing it's just a maurice thing

man i should make an actual blog post with all my vampire details on it. i have an old ref i made but its a drawing and the text on it is all handwritten and there are spelling mistakes

I completely forgot to put it up here :x This was a revisit to a super ancient piece I did fifteen years ago and figured now was a good time to do so. I'm pretty happy with how the composition came out along with the body pose on here. I may do more theme song pieces in the future as this was fun to do once again :'>

Been meaning to get this rough draft up and finally getting around to doing so! This familiar, Henwen, was inspired by the Carnyx, a really awesome ancient Celtic war horn that seriously deserves far more love. I'm still working on her, but once Henwen is fine tuned in the biography/personality department, she'll be paired with Freddy as his familiar X3 I seriously love how the rough draft turned out for Henwen, she really was fun to design, especially the three forms she can take (it was a treat to design a wild pig familiar, especially a brass one).

It's been ages since I last drew my Fursona and darn it, I had this dress design bouncing about in my head for a while now (I wished we had more dark green dresses like it). There is that along with plans of getting my ears finally pierced at some point (I had wanted to back in 2020 before the whole pandemic hit). Though I guess the subject like should redirect to, who could ever be interrupting Dolly and her familiars during tea time? Serious no manners unless they have something sweet, sweets are a good way to earn brownie points.

The Freebie piece for @azirtheshark for winning the goofy bets this year :'D He had requested a horse reading the newspaper and being completely outraged by it. I figured the perfect rage fuel for a horse would be Fernando winning the horse race instead (the amphibian was definitely a horse in another life.)

I hope you like how outrage horse came out :')
