anyways hI thoughts on nIckNames

obviously we have potter for theo from boris

and i like to keep the smcu nickname i came up with from stan -> magpie

and a common one for bill from stan is "bluejay" because of his eyes

but what do you think other pairings would call each other ?

yes nicknames! "potter" obviously is iconic and i love stan's bird nicknames but here we go

theo: theo isn't really a nicknames guy cause he's boring so i'm just gonna give you pet names he'd use for his boys

stan: babe

boris: fuckhead/asshole

bill: prolly also babe cause he's basic (and i think it'd be funny if theo is like "hey babe!" and three heads snap up. boris is like "aww you never call me that" (theo's not talking to him) meanwhile bill and stan are doing the spiderman meme)

stan: again this is kinda gray area between pet names & nicknames but the birds thing is so cute! alt stenboreo ship name of stan's birds who's with me

bill: bluejay

theo: magpie

boris: pidgeon (city birds, often considered weird or gross, but sounds a lot like an endearment if you say it right. also hc that this boris speaks a lot more russian & ukrainian & sorta polish than in the book so he's basically speaking a. pidgin. get it)

bill:

stan: i think it would be cute if bill gave stan the nickname "stan" (not at all canon but we make our own canon so who cares) because i think he and theo are both devastatingly boring and wouldn't be nicknames people

theo: again just theo. hard name to do eng lang nicknames for when its alr shortened to theo

boris: borya! diminutive of boris & i think bill would be really interested in learning ab boris's cultures. so like diminutives/nicknames being really important & then he'd want to learn boris's diminutives (borya, boryushka, borechka, n sorta boriska but bill wouldn't use that one). boryushka and borechka are reserved for like nicer/more tender moments but borya is for everyday wear

boris:

stan: stosh (polish nickname for stanisław) or ptakh/ptashko (ukrainian for bird/birdy) which he’d use interchangeably a la kotku/kotyku

bill: ok hear me out on this one. baksi which is "dollar bill" in russian. bc bill. dollar bill. get it. when he's drunk he gets sappy with it and is like *dramatic boris voice* "baksi you are worth more than all of the moneys to me" while throwing himself in bill's direction so he can flop on the ground and cluch his chest like he's having a heart attack

when bill is thinking about georgie for example, or theo can't get his mum out of his mind?

when stan is feeling insecure about his scars or has to face the painting in his dads office again, even when he's stuck alone in a dark room?

(i don't...know anything for Boris but uh. surely there's something similar?)

i already kind of have the thing i drew with stenbrough but i wanted to open it up and ask your input on it !!! :D

hiiiiiii guess who's back with more bullet lists because there are too many goddamn people in this relationship! i need a chart to keep them all straight. or gay. or whatever. i need a diagram & color-coded drawings.

bill: ok so his trauma TO ME centers around (similar to theo's) not being able to save his loved ones. especially since he blames himself (as a kid. i'm not over that scene in it ch 2. i'm unwell) for it, i think he'd get a little bit of separation anxiety at times and worry that if he lets the boys out of his sight they'll disappear down the sewers and he'll never see them again. so for that, i think the boys would try to reassure him by giving him things to like hold on to and remember they're safe (ex: boris giving him one of his bracelets to wear around, stan giving him a pep talk ab how he can see the scar on his hand and remember that they killed It, etc.) but i also think that when bill's beating himself up over not doing enough they'd have REALLY different responses. key beign my son boris (adrenaline junkie, bitch & whore) would do stupid reckless things so that bill could save him. eventually that would devolve into them going on Adventures together and my beloved denlikovsky bonding time where they take dumb risks and be stubborn and have fun. the barrens are their playscape and it's really a miracle neither of them have gotten horribly injured yet. what can i say it's the magic of denlikovsky. stan on the other hand would try to talk him through it to comfort him, lots of "it wasn't your fault" and "you did everything you could" which is like NICE and HELPFUL but sometimes bill doesn't want to process his trauma and spend like a week crying about it. theo's approach is the Decker Patented Avoid Your Feelings Like The Plague where he and bill watch movies and hang out and maybe get a little teeny bit drunk but not that drunk and just hang out and Not Think About It. it's like a girls day except they are sad and binge a full season of supernatural in a day (bill is a sam girl and theo is a dean girl. stan and boris are uninterested until cas shows up. also boris keeps talking about how hot bobby is and they have to throw pillows at him to shut him up)

theo: as you said he has a lottt of bombing trauma but specifically he has really bad ptsd that manifests mainly in nightmares (this is canon) and flashbacks (this is mine own special seasoning). boris, who's dealt with it the longest, knows what calms theo down (hugs help to snap him out of it but music calms him down) and so boris carries an ipod everywhere (or '89 equivalent. who cares) and if that runs out of battery he's a good singer (canon but i'm vamping it up to he's a Really Good Singer so hc) and polish lullabies are actually great for trauma-b-gone. i need to stop joking about ptsd hello why do my turns of phrase keep fucking me over. also hc (based on boris hugging theo after nightmares in vegas era) that theo craves physical touch after nightmares or flashbacks so the boys hug him whenever he has them to calm him down. stan and bill catch on to the music thing, but stan usually rambles about birds/somethign else to distract him and bill usually just hugs him and sits with him in silence until theo's able to tell him what happened. also theo gets very quiet and distant for at least a few hours after a flashback or nightmare and the boys learn to adapt around that

stan: ok i've got a double whammy for this one. stan's trauma number one is the actual it bs (specifically i'd imagine if there's anything on/over his face he gets really freaked out. this is discovered in a pillow fight and it does NOT go well) and number two is he feels really terrible for being too scared, basically thinking he's weak/stupid and like he's worthless bc he didn't do anything (his words not mine) to help kill the clown. so for the actual trauma responses (which for stan I think would manifest most in panic attacks) the boys are fairly well equipped to handle that? boris is the best but bill also has some experience with handling panic attacks and trauma responses, and of course theo has first hand experience. so i don’t really feel the need to go more in detail on that, other than w the things on his face thing and that they’d have to work around that a little bit. buttttttttttt for number 2 (fosil im gonna be level with you i was scratching my head on this one. i personally have no idea how to deal w this. so im going with “the boys each try different things in line w their personalities but dealers choice as to if it works (at all/how well)” because man. idk) i think boris (again, he’s the best at handling other people’s trauma) would be pretty proactive with it, similar to how he helps bill, and he’d try to do things with stan that he’s good at/make him feel good about himself. easy example being birdwatching, boris might go birdwatching with him and it’d make stan feel more capable when boris calls a cardinal a summer tanager. they’re very obviously different boris come on now. bill is much more introspective than any of the boys I think so he’d probably have little pearls of wisdom for stan that would help him or at least snap him out of it. bill’s things become like mantras for stan (he thrusts his firsts against the posts) and he repeats them to himself whenever he feels scared or worthless (and still insists he sees the ghosts) and I take no inspiration for this from It obviously. theo is literal hot garbage at trauma responses so he’d probably pull a “well then I guess we’re both worthless and terrible and can’t save anyone :/“ and then boris and bill (denlikovsky woop woop) have to save them from joint moping

boris: ok so boris’s trauma is Certified Unprocessed and im drawing on corrina, corrina for this but basically as a kid bc he’s still living w his dad he’s not able to recognize fully how bad his abuse is. what’s that trauma processing principle called… backdraft or something… it’s like the first step of healing feels the worst bc in order to start working on it you have to understand exactly how bad it was. and boris is pre-that stage so he’s kind of in a mode of “yah my life sucks but everyone else here has it worse so it’s not that bad” which means he doesn’t really have a whole lot of trauma moments like stan and theo (moreso than bill but also to an extent bill) have. or at least that’s what he thinks and im not sure if the boys would pick up on boris’s clinginess being a part of his trauma. and in that vein while he doesn’t have flashbacks, nightmares, panic attacks etc. his behaviors are very clearly based in his trauma. so he’s clingy but can be emotionally distant at times, he gets drunk and high a lot (usually to go to sleep) and he’s kind of a daredevil and is very flippant about being injured so he kind of always seems to be risking his life (form of suicidal ideation btw). but he’s also, having been around traumatized kids for most of his life (I’ll actually point to kotyku as my main example here!) the best of all of the boys at dealing with and recognizing those behaviors as trauma responses. so im not sure that they (stan and theo especially) would really be able to help him. I think there’s an argument for bill helping him though! and this isn’t just my denlikovsky agenda speaking. bill seems to be the most aware & well adjusted and I know it’s fucking cliche but I think that would really help him in realizing that boris isn’t doing very well. also bill is a very leader-type character so he’s more likely to be taking stock of that kind of thing and he’s more likely to be proactive and try to do something about it. and he’s more likely to be able to handle it delicately and be more able to talk emotions with Boris without him deflecting or running off. I love you kids with too much responsibility (<- person who is not talking from experience)

these are all as-kids hcs because they have p different trauma as adults (stenbrough for it round 2 and depending on if we keep eddie's death; boreo for amsterdam & boris for everything leading up to it) which they'd cope with (and each other) very differently but THIS WAS A LOT OF FUN TYYYYYYY @fosilizd sorry for making them sad!!!

Stan:

So I think Stan would be the least affected by the curse over Derry. Its a little foggy for him, but he still remembers the majority of his childhood and everything about the clown, his boys, things like that. This of course is due to him seeing the Deadlights yada yada whatever. I've explained his thing I fear. But Stan remembers.

Theo:

Theo does not remember a lot about Derry. (Did you have that memory loss hc about him or am I losing my mind, bcs if you did that probably wouldn't help). He doesn't even remember being in Derry, really, but sometimes he'll get flashes of time he spent in Derry. Boris was there, of course, but there were these other two boys he just can't remember at all...he can barely remember their faces. But he remembers how they made him feel. And it weirdly makes him miss them almost as much as Boris himself.

Boris:

Boris doesn't remember Derry at all. Like Theo, he remembers being in Derry, but the town is lost on him. And he can't remember Stan or Bill's appearances at all. But he knows there were two people, along with Theo, at one point in his life, that made him feel actually, truly happy. And warm, physically- he remembers the feeling of lots of cuddles.

Bill:

Canon-compliant with this man. He remembers nothing. He doesn't even remember Georgie. Derry got him good.

for mid 20s/adult stanbrough imma be honest most of the time it's just Them man T-T BUT I HAVE A COUPLE HEADCANONS

OKAOKAY:

Bill gets like. Really giddy sometimes when he comes up with a good idea for a story (something I do too T-T) so when one of them asks him about it he's just like "Oh 😊 I just thought about how this character could die! ✨️🌺😁 [insert the most gruesome terrifying death you've heard of said with the happiest face alive]"

One thing thats canon to the book that I think is interesting is that Stan starts smoking once he's an adult. So. Could do something with that.

Something fluffier but also with a tiny bit of angst bcs I can't resist...Stan tries to take each of them birdwatching but they all mess it up somehow? And he gets frustrated because he just wants to share something he enjoys with his boys :C

Common more angsty but easily fluffy ideas are Bill being afraid of storms/getting nightmares

You could also do something about the idea of Stan hating having his face covered like you talked about in that one post (so I reread our stenboreo posts sue me)

If you wanted something more "canon" you could do a meet-cute after they all Forgot (tm) with the memory headcanons we talked about (canon i say as if any of this is remotely close to canon)

Someone is sleep deprived. Maybe they're all sleep deprived. Either way it's cute (also Stan just doesn't sleep. he's always running on like five hours MAX and this is a personal headcanon but feels true to me)

sickfic. just. sickfic. could be either of them getting sick, either way bill feels crippling guilt because of lying about "Being Sick" when Georgie wanted to play
