If you dont mind me asking, who left BAP? And what is the situation surrounding it? Im a member of the fandom but i havent been able to engage for a while and the tag isnt giving me anything helpful :o( if its too much to explain thats totally alright!!! Or if thats what is in your /about (i dont have a computer so i cant look at it)

oh wow okay so Bang Yongguk (leader, rapper) left the band when his contract expired in August then Zelo / Choi Junhong (maknae, rapper) announced at the end of the Forever With Babyz tour that his contract had expired and he officially left in December. 

TS Entertainment have a long history of mistreating and underpaying their idols, and B.A.P a few years ago had a huge lawsuit as a result of neglect, lack of pay and legal issues surrounding a large sum of money just vanishing. Yongguk had to take a break during Noir era due to serious mental health issues and stress. Junhong has been openly verbal about his anger towards the way the company stole his childhood and exploited him. Multiple times the other members have publicly shamed and griped about TS.

We’re only a few weeks until the rest of the member’s contracts expire (Bang&Zelo debuted before B.A.P) and most people are pretty convinced they’ll all leave as well since the boys are very close and clearly haven’t enjoyed their time under the label. There was also no new b.a.p music over 2018 - only a few solos on a digital album - which suggests no movement to create any new content for the company that would need a promotion period, and the tour is the biggest moneymaker for B.A.P which might imply that TS don’t expect them all to stay.

All of this discourse is so dumb, transmen can be assholes too, everyone has the capability to do -phobic things regardless of any aspect of your identity. What even is there to discuss??? It was a dick move in one of the most disgusting message boards on the internet. Saying "this person is an asshole" isnt transmisandric. The fact that people are letting this one person represent all trans men is stupid generalizing bullshit. Id say @trans men take the L, but theres not even an L to take.

people aren’t really letting him represent the trans community as much as trying to not let this be seen as a smart thing for trans men to pull off (a lot of reblogs were praising him for his actions and calling it some kind of transphobic adaption as if it didnt harm another vulnerable trans group)

otherwise we get people like that newt guy who thinks this was a non-issue and thinks people, including other trans men, calling it out is proof that trans men are actually the most oppressed trans population 😑

Stampen Media launched a social experiment - Visible Thoughts

Stampen Media - Visible Thoughts Fake news, fast news and filter bubbles are big challenges within todays media landscape. They all create a narrower, twisted view of our world and have led researches to warn against growing prejudice in our societies. The solution, they say, is unbiased and well-researched journalism.In order to create awareness of the growing prejudice in our society and the polarisation that it inevitably leads to, Stampen Media launched a social experiment in Gothenburg, Sweden called Visible Thoughts.

During the experiment, people off the street were invited to sit down on a chair placed in the middle of a shop-window, exposed both to passers-by and people following the event online. People were then able to label the person in the shop-window by answering a set of questions - knowing nothing about them bar their appearance. The answers were projected in real time in the shop window and online. Over 6000 people took part in the experiment. It not only created awareness around the subject in Sweden, it made people realise how lack of knowledge feeds our prejudices. Because only real knowledge and a better understanding of the world we live in can prevent us from keep judging each other. The goal of the campaign was to start conversations around prejudice and to encourage people to want to get to know one another, outside of their own bubble. If we can make people realise that we all carry prejudice, we can also increase tolerance for what is considered different. honestly tho YEAH. WHY should Klaus Baudelaire have to wear shoes? If all Klauses took off their shoes I'm sure there'd be at least a 10% increase in Klauses displaying telekinesis

it started out as a positive term and history of it being used negatively doesn’t cancel that out as well as the fact that other terms were being used more frequently for the demonisation of gay people.... bc as u can see from your quote, none of those things are about actual gay people
