and the more i watch it, the more it makes sense in my head, not only because of their chemistry, which is amazing!!! but storyline wise too!!
henry falling for a villain that could be redeemed, because he believes in her and her potential, when nobody believed in her before, which is absolutely on par with ouat.
henry finding his true love with a character who never serves a narrative purpose for herself and is always overlooked, instead of a cliché prince meets princess thing, that he only chased because he was trying to find something similar to what his grandparents had.
the real connection they had about feeling lonely because drizella truly had no one to turn to for years and henry was always surrounded by family who were these awesome people and he still didn’t know who he was.
and imagine the plot twist that it would be if everybody believed that him and ella were the true love that was going to break the curse, but actually he was already falling in love with drizella, and the angst when he found she poisoned his heart.
also, it would go hand in hand with the found family trope that ouat used so much, because drizella and regina were so similar and she stated she wished she had a mother like her, and henry and ella would’ve been so much better as co-parents and the whole second chances thing, ugh.
maybe i’m not making much sense, but THE WASTED POTENTIAL.
