truthfully though, the reason Ginger Snaps is so wholly important as not only a coming of age teen movie, but also a horror movie, is because it's virtually alone in it's genre. I mean, there are how many gritty, dirty coming of age male movies, it's just so important to see a movie like Ginger Snaps really present a female perspective of puberty, sex, & high school in way that doesn't turn it into some beautiful gentle blossoming. THERE SHOULD BE SO MANY MORE MOVIES LIKE GINGER SNAPS. GINGER SNAPS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT COMING OF AGE FEMALE TEEN MOVIE.
