ORIGINAL ARTICLE
1 Year: Happy Birthday, StageFright!
StageFright officialy was born an year ago today.
A lot of things happened during this year: good and bad changements, high and low moments. Great opportunities came along and looking back then I'm pretty sure I would have never even dreamed of what we are now. It started with a few really simple (and yes, a little bit awkward too) videos on youtube, and now Stagefright is airing a tv program, it's a radio show, and gave me the opportunity to meet amazing artists along the way. Today, we reached 150,000 views on our website. I worked really hard to get here, and I don't regret a single thing...sleepless nights editing videos and photos or renewing the website, hours of paperwork, contracts, emails, a lot of "no", a few "yes", thousands of Kms to get to the shows, planes, trains, roads.
This would have never happened without my amazing staff, people that happen to be some of my best friends, and which I will be forever thankful for believing in me and in this project.
And this would have never happened without all of you of course...so THANK YOU, for enjoying my interviews, for watching our photos, for reading our reviews. We grew up together, in this year, and I feel like we're all a big family. Your love for music, and ours of course, is what gives us the will to keep things going. We have a lot of news coming up, the radio show is starting again, a lot of interviews and shows are on the horizon, so stay with us and you won't be disappointed. Just keep showing us your love, and we'll keep to bring you closer to the music you love the most.
Like Plato said, "Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything." So thank you, again, for sharing with us that charm and gaiety.
Happy Birthday, StageFright!
Lots of love,
Steph
Today I'm thankful for...
my family and my sisters, because they're my strenght and they love me as much as I love them;
my friends, which I'm realizing are more than I thought, and close to my heart even though we're far from each other; and also for the friends that are not real friends: don't think I don't know who you are, or that you just talk to me for what I do, hoping to be included in it. I keep you close so that I can appreciate my true friends even more.
the chance that has been given to me to rebuild a new life, in another city, in another country; I seriously can't wait to move, furnish my apartment, and live the life I always wanted;
my faith, that helps me everyday to go on in this world;
my job, a job that I built with my own hands, blood and sweat, and no one else's. I'm proud of the goals I reached so far, and for the ones I'm looking forward to. I would have never imagined I would get this far;
the amazing people I had the chance to work with, people I was looking up to, and that from a nice talk have become amazing friends;
music, that was there when no one else was;
movies, because I'm discovering them again and, as they did in the past, they make me dream and run away from everything. I forgot how much I loved it.
